Matured for two years in French Pinot Noir Barrels.

Our brewmaster, Hans-Peter Drexler, and Jerome de Rebetez from Brasserie des Franches Montagnes in Switzerland matured some of the famous Aventinus Eisbock in red wine barrels for many months. Enjoy this rich combination of the complex Aventinus Eisbock aromes and the woody character from the wine barrel.

Aventinus Eisbock Barrique welcomes you with an intense raspberry, cherry and vanilla aroma. A very rich and harmonious taste of chocolate, vanilla and berries will explode in your mouth leaving a lasting and pleasant after-taste reminding you of good red wine. I recommend this beer with chocolate and red fruit dessert or a blue cheese. However, as it is so complex that it can easily be enjoyed on its own.

Bottle, shared with BBGTC, Foffern and Gunnar, courtesy of Gunnar - thanks man! :-) Pours a slightly hazy nougat brown body with a small white head. Nose is vinous fruity, nearly acetic overtones on a deep malty background of grains, banana and hints of nougat. Taste is caramel, Norwegian brown cheese ("brunost"), vanilla, sour acidic tones, hints of milk chocolate and dry grapes. Very nice. Full body, smooth carbonation. A solid "experimental" beer from Schneider.

Cervesa bastant alcohòlica, amb tocs avinagrats i a blat. Cerveza bastante alcohólica, con toques avinagrados y a trigo.

Thanks to koelschtrinker! Pours an amber color with a slight haze and small tan head. The smell is wheat, dark fruit with a bit of tartness. The taste is raisins, slightly sour, wheat ending fruity and tart. Medium body with mild fine carbonation.

Fruchtig trockener, etwas dunkler Antrunk. Geringe Herbe, im Mittelteil eher mild, wenig malzig, monoton. Trocken fruchtiger Ausklang. 11/10/9/8/11/11

Bottle. Beer in the glass dark, almost black. Very complex and subtle flavors, bretty, with chocolate. Beer got better as it warmed up (started at 8°C)

Wow oh wow. Fantastic, there is almost to much going on in this. You can really taste the wine barriques this has been aged in. Hints of Pinot Noir, with lots of fruit. Just wow.

A violent and complex taste experience. Aventinus and Aventinus ice buck store TAP6 barrique into four different ones, before they are united to an incomparable Cuvée and improved in the unique tailor white fermentation in the bottle.

Thanks to Alex for arranging this beer! Bottle looks awesome. Beer in the glass dark, almost black. Starts very strong, modest alcoholic, some fruity notes of berries. Reminds me more of a Barley Wine than a Weizenbock. Finish more balanced, more intense malty. Still warming-alcoholic. Interesting beer!

low carbonation, lots of bread, chocolate, caramel, moderately sour, but a bit all over the place. Lovely sour nose. What is weird is that it is very drinkable with the acidity. Almost like a beer. Really amazing in idocity, but not sure what to think. Extra points for originality. Beer got better as it warmed up.

Bottle. Bretty nose, dusty, caramel, raisin, cherry, chocolate, vanilla, oak. Very complex and subtle flavors, bretty, with chocolate. Fun, complex, and surprising. A bit shocking at first to have a barnyard Aventinus, but this really worked, and got better as it warmed and opened up. Thanks to Shuichi for sharing!
