Deep chestnut brown colored pour. Sizable off-white head that lasts a while. Nice oaky, weizen aroma of bananas, wheat and yeast. Slight up-front alcohol presence and a very warming alcohol bite. Sweet malt flavor, with some fruity esters. A bit too much alcohol, but otherwise balanced. Not bad.

Bottle; pours a dark brown with a tan head; aroma is slightly sour with cherries and vinegar with hints of caramel and vanilla; taste is tart cherries, caramel, and a little malt and citrus; finish is slightly tart and semi dry; another good Tap X beer and I am really enjoying this Tap X series

(bottle, rating #4000) murky ruby-brown colour with a frothy beige head. aroma of cherries and some surprisingly heavy bretty funk, with a light hint of banana, some gooseberries, charred oak, light powdered sugar, citrus fruit, cinnamon, clove and milk chocolate. flavour is mostly grape juice, dark chocolate and roasted wheat, quite tart, with big notes of caramel, red wine, quite a bit of alcohol and a hint of banana and fresh oak in the finish. heavy-bodied with soft carbonation. great stuff!

A nice lightly smoked brown ale. Pours dark mahogany without much head or lacing. Some light caramel and resin, and only a hint of smoke. Barrel is light as well here. This is all very well-balanced but it lacks in overall body and palate. Light bitter finish. Tap at Pizzeria Paradiso Georgetown.

Limited Edition 2013. Barrel Aged in Wine Barrel for 6 months. Piana poprawna srednia dobrej jakosci ale szybko przemija. Kolor czerwony, pod koniec dolewania brazowawy metnawy. Jak wino wyglada barwa aromatem takze przypomina najlepsze wytrawne czerwone wina. Beczki po winie odcisnely tu najwieksze pietno. Dominuje aromat gronowy, drewniany i kwaskowy. Przypomina oprocz wina wytrawnego lambicka. Kwaskowe i owocowe zarazem. Gratka dal wielbicieli kwasnych piw rodem z Brukseli oraz czerwonych jakosciowych win. Wszystko podane nalezycie starannie z elegancja, przewieszka limitowana butelka z ciemnego szkla. Wspaniale komponuje sie z wedzona szynka szwardzwaldzka i serami plesniowymi. Goraco polecam te przyjemnosc degustacji

Bottle shared with Bobby to celebrate a third Giants World Championship in five years. Pours a murky deep reddish brown color with average head. Very nice aromas of wet oak, salted caramel, raspberry tart, acid, sour cherry, and Tootsie Roll. The palate is dry, with oaky tannin, and flavors of sweetish leather, wet earth, balsamic, sour red fruits, and dry white wine. A novel German "wild ale", and perfectly engineered as expected.

Bottle shared with esp0r, edvard and Simonsen at The "Esp0r #2000 Weekend in The Woods" 2014. Murky brown body with a decent beige head. Aroma is a pleasant surprise, sour cherries, banana, vanilla, red wine, the sourness was totally unexpected and very welcome. Taste follows the same tart berries and red wine style, with caramelized malt, oak, fruity yeast esters. Very happy to see a sour red-resembling brew from these guys, very enjoyable.
