Deep chestnut brown colored pour. Sizable off-white head that lasts a while. Nice oaky, weizen aroma of bananas, wheat and yeast. Slight up-front alcohol presence and a very warming alcohol bite. Sweet malt flavor, with some fruity esters. A bit too much alcohol, but otherwise balanced. Not bad.

0,1l from bottle at Craft Bier Fest Wien, shared by Sin4H, thanks. brown hazy color, almost no head. smells wood, grapes, spices, coconut, i also get some light mustard, very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes wood, grapes, lightly sour, coconut, light funk, citric, green apples. finishes with some wood and green apples and grape notes. very nice beer, quite complex, drinks very good, a bit alcoholic, but nice stuff.

Bottle at Craft Bier Fest Wien. Filling the shoes of the big story and a big name. Incredibly rich, complex. Vinous, bretty, woody, dried fruits. Intricate balance of sweetness, bitterness, sourness and tannins. Excellent.

Bottle at the brewery in Kelheim. Aroma is acetic acid / balsamic vinegar, dirty oak, cognac-like spirits, earth, soil, rotting fruit, grape jam, oxidized malt. Full bodied, strongly acidic and powerfully sour, yeasty and raw and hot. An absolute mess of a beer that nearly made me gag after the first sip. Schneider is apparently selling these like hot cakes to the "craft" beer fans :/

Dark brown pour, with ruby hues. Medium beige head that dissapears like the head on a can of pop. The aroma is vinous, tart, and has some big vinegar notes. Some big earthy barrel notes very reminscent of a flemish red. Carb is incredibly low, basically flat, and the body is thin, but still full if that makes any sense, it doesnt feel watery, but its thin. The finish is tart, with light vinegar, bready malts, earthy woodsy notes, and no bitterness. Interesting stuff. Alcohol is nowhere to be found, this can really sneak up on you. Gonna be very interesting to see what some age will do to this.

pours a dark muddy brown, with very little head. Aroma has notes of banana, yeast, barbecue sauce, and molasses. Tasting notes include sour fruit, chewy malts, yeast, brown sugar, and barbecue sauce like sweet finish. This is very interesting, and unique beer, and very lambic like in its sourness. Not bad!

Thin tan head, large bubbles, fades quickly then disappears. Rusty hazy raisin colour. Beautiful sour dark fruit aroma. Clean acidity, dark fruit, nice sourness. High carbonation, dry finish. Beautiful.

Pours a dark chestnut brown color with mahogany edges and a one finger beige head that quickly settles into a thin ring. Minimal spots of lace left behind. Vinous dark fruit aroma with a strong barrel presence over roasted dark malts. Earthy oak and vanilla notes along with a prominent red wine character. Lots of grape, tart cherry and other dark berries followed by chocolate malt, caramel and coffee bean. Faint acetic presence but it doesn’t interfere with the other characteristics and is not solvent like. Smells like a red wine barrel filled with chocolate covered cherries. Medium bodied with tart sourness and a very strong vinous barrel character that dominates the flavor profile, lingering over the malt backbone into a dry acetic finish. Almost all barrel until the finish with toasted oak, vanilla and dominant vinous red wine flavor with dark grape, tart cherry, currant and other dark berries. Underneath, there is some faint roasted malt but it’s overpowered by the barrel and acetic acid. As it warms the acetic character stands out a but more with strong vinegar in the finish. Still, it’s not solvent like and it blends well with the tartness and vinous barrel notes. Flavorful but kind of one dimensional with all elements of the base beer completely obliterated. I wish that there was a touch of weizenbock flavor but any can’t pick up anything that resembles the style.

It pours muddy brown with ochre highlights; the head almost non existent. The aroma has notes of: toffee, barnyard funk, lemon juice, and dark cherries. The taste is medium sour that finishes medium dry and bitter; there are notes of: lemon juice, cherries, sourdough, and cracked wheat. The palate is medium heavy bodied with light carbonation and a medium sour finish with a slight saltiness. Overall, it’s a great take on a wheat beer - very satisfied.

Pours ruddy reddish brown , creamy short lived tan head. Aroma is earthy with some sharp cherry and balsamic vinegar notes. Flavor has more balsamic a clean lactic sourness, dark fruit raisins and plums. More mouthfeel than Iam used to in a sour, not a bad thing. Delicious beer.
