On tap in the Wildeman. Poured a cloudy yellow with a moderate off white head. Aroma of citrus fruit and floral hops. Medium body, flavour is yeasty wheat and oranges with a lingering dry aftertaste.

Yellow with a white head. Aroma is yeast, wheat and banana. Flavor is heavy on the banana with some clove and wheat character. Very nice. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Cloudy straw colour, rich head. Evident pear aroma. Sweet and full bodied with pear, banana and caramel. Mildly warming finish. Nice modern style hop weisse, where the exotic hops remains reasonably subtle.

Cannot go wrong with Schneider and Sonnes in any form. Weiss beer perfection, now they’re playing with hops...

Pours a hazy orange with a large foamy white head. Aroma of ripe banana, clove, white grapes and champagne. Flavor of white wine...almost straight up carbonated white wine. Really showcases the Nelson hops. Some banana and clove.

This beer reminds me a pale version of Tap5. Not so intense and interesting. I’d rather by another tap5.

Flaska från Systembolaget. Mörkt gyllene vätska med högt skum. Tydliga aromer av frukt gräs och inslag av banan. Lagom balans mellan sötma och beska. Torr smak.

Very very good looking and tasty beverage. Unable to really describe the aroma or flavor well but delicious none the less!

Mostly clear golden color, not much head but a thin layer of foam clings to the surface for some time after pouring. Light fruity aroma, almost flowery. Flavor is like a mildly dry hefeweizen. Pretty tasty, especially if you dislike the typical banana/clove character of German wheat beers, but didn’t knock my socks off.

UPDATED: MAY 4, 2013 750 ml bottle. Pours a hazy cantaloupe hue with a huge cream-colored head that takes its sweet time receding; leaves some cobwebby lace. Aroma is prominently banana and clove at first before some earth and citrusy notes lend themselves to the mix. Has a velvety mouthfeel and fairly soft carbonation. Overall, this tastes like Old World expertise using some New World ingredients to make a really awesome drink here. I’ve always loved this brewery, and I think it’s really cool that they’re broadening their horizons beyond the purely German. This is a must try for any beer lover, and especially for German wheat beer fans.
