With its light-honey coloring and streaked with fine top-fermented yeast, this beer has a fine-pored, stable head. It has a fresh, typically top-fermented clove-like aroma. On the tongue it is fresh, clean, harmonious and smoothly rounded. It finishes with a light, delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a spritzig-sour impression.

Cerveza de trigo alemana. Sueave, con cuerpo medio. El sabor no es tan intenso como otras cervezas de trigo, pero muy buena.

Bottle at home. Slight hazy golden with a bit small white head. Nice yeast aromas up front with soft banana, cloves, cumin, light bubblegum. Great wheat dough mixed with cookie dough maybe? Just a lovely slight sweet malt base with great complexity. Light sweet and very light tartness and bitterness. Under medium bodied with soft creamy feel. Really good!

Vat is it, grandpapa? Vas it ze greatest bier in ze whole vorld? No, but it’s damn good. Cloudy yellow-orange-golden color with a huge and lacy white head. The aroma is everything you want in a weissbier, the style that got me into good beer right here in München back in 2003, and for which I still have a sweet spot, but beer geeks be all like, "I only drink rare sours brah f**k dat noise." THIS IS GOOD BRO FOR REALZ. Banana, clove, what, just spot on. Wheaty flavor, what can you say about something that virtually defined this style. It’s good, broski, and if you disagree, get bent and drown yourself in a pool of crappy no-name American brewery’s overhyped sour dog shit. Hint of sweetness, no bitterness to be had. Lots of banana esters, and dude, that shit is good. Deal with it. Clean, crisp, poundable. Also, I just wanted to leave you with this little chestnut: Munchner? Barely even know her!

Slighty darker than gold, a bit of haziness, obviously huge white head, nicely persistent. Gently sweet aroma, light notes of clove, lemon, maybe a grassy hint. Pretty much the same in the taste: gently sweet, banana, lemon, slight hint of acidity in the finish. Light body and carbonation, very smooth, maybe a tad too watery but does it’s job in keeping things very easy. Easily drinkable and quite refreshing. Not significant

Hazy golden colour, with a big head that does not hold for too long, leaving a good lace. Aroma of cloves, banana, bepaches, melon. Madium body, lively carbonation. Taste is the same as the aroma, with some lemon notes and some sweetness in the end.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2016 Sehr viel Hefegeschmack. Viel Banane und Nelke, allerdings nicht süß, eher sauer. Hopfen nur geringfügig bemerkbar.

500 ml bottle bought at EG Plus Ltd’s booth during the 13th Hong Kong Food Festival 2015 in HKCEC, Wan Chai.

Looks: Cloudy hazy straw golen honey colour with a ring of dirt-like yeast sediments; Three quarter finger head with white foam which lasted for 90 seconds; Fair sticky lacing and quite fizzy carbonation.

Aroma: Pretty fragment malt, with strong banana, vanilla, pineapples, jam, honey, floral, strong wheaty tartness, caramel, toffee, sugar, strong cloves, spices, bread, strong yeast, light lemon and light grass.

Taste: Close to light sweet malt, with metallic, light banana, strong wheat, fairly strong tartness, phenolic, cloves, yeast, light lemon, fairly light bitter hops and light grass.

Body: Mid to light body. Quite Slick and smooth palate.

Mouth Feel: Fairly good maltyness in a fairly creamy background. Strong wheat and notable tartness. Light banana and strong caramel, phenolic and clove taste is quite strong. Not as yeasty nor lemony as I thought. Okay.

Hoppiness: Light lemon and light grass in nose and taste. Bitterness is lightweight for an abrupt, low astringent wheaty finish.

After Taste: Fairly dry. Smooth, and fairly clovey to mouth.

Comments: After the great taste of Tap 7 (Original) and Tap 2 (Kristall), this Tap 1 is quite a downer: strong wheatness and good aroma aside, its taste lack dimensions, with smoothness and hoppiness being substantially downgraded. A fairly soild offerings, but it doen’s really live up to Schneider’s reputation. Oh well.
