With its light-honey coloring and streaked with fine top-fermented yeast, this beer has a fine-pored, stable head. It has a fresh, typically top-fermented clove-like aroma. On the tongue it is fresh, clean, harmonious and smoothly rounded. It finishes with a light, delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a spritzig-sour impression.

Hazy golden colour, with a big head that does not hold for too long, leaving a good lace. Aroma of cloves, banana, bepaches, melon. Madium body, lively carbonation. Taste is the same as the aroma, with some lemon notes and some sweetness in the end.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2016 Sehr viel Hefegeschmack. Viel Banane und Nelke, allerdings nicht süß, eher sauer. Hopfen nur geringfügig bemerkbar.

500 ml bottle bought at EG Plus Ltd’s booth during the 13th Hong Kong Food Festival 2015 in HKCEC, Wan Chai.

Looks: Cloudy hazy straw golen honey colour with a ring of dirt-like yeast sediments; Three quarter finger head with white foam which lasted for 90 seconds; Fair sticky lacing and quite fizzy carbonation.

Aroma: Pretty fragment malt, with strong banana, vanilla, pineapples, jam, honey, floral, strong wheaty tartness, caramel, toffee, sugar, strong cloves, spices, bread, strong yeast, light lemon and light grass.

Taste: Close to light sweet malt, with metallic, light banana, strong wheat, fairly strong tartness, phenolic, cloves, yeast, light lemon, fairly light bitter hops and light grass.

Body: Mid to light body. Quite Slick and smooth palate.

Mouth Feel: Fairly good maltyness in a fairly creamy background. Strong wheat and notable tartness. Light banana and strong caramel, phenolic and clove taste is quite strong. Not as yeasty nor lemony as I thought. Okay.

Hoppiness: Light lemon and light grass in nose and taste. Bitterness is lightweight for an abrupt, low astringent wheaty finish.

After Taste: Fairly dry. Smooth, and fairly clovey to mouth.

Comments: After the great taste of Tap 7 (Original) and Tap 2 (Kristall), this Tap 1 is quite a downer: strong wheatness and good aroma aside, its taste lack dimensions, with smoothness and hoppiness being substantially downgraded. A fairly soild offerings, but it doen’s really live up to Schneider’s reputation. Oh well.

From Alcampo. In Bavaria glass. Reading CPPHTP10 Ch12. Pleasant to drink, with less body than usual in a hefeweizen. Lots of banana in its nose, which is great.

Cloudy yellow brown color with thick foam layer. The smell resembles wet attic with bananas. The taste is watery with a wheat bread dissolved in it and hints of acidic parts. Calm aftertaste.

Golden cloudy beer, with a white head, standar carbonation, aromas of banana, cloves and orange peel. The taste is quite good, with a nice malt balance prevailing the wheat over the barley, the bitterness is the right one for a german Hefeweizen.

Dejlig hefeweizen. Særdeles frisk smag. Tilpas med bitterhed. Ikke noget køn og indbydende udseende.

[7782-20150927] Tap. Light floral yeasty aroma has a sweet lemon zest touch. Hazy, pale orange yellow body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Bitter lemony yeast and sweet fruits flavour. Medium body. Interesting. (7/3/7/3/14) 3.4
