DSG (997), Yuvalim, Israel Aug 9, 2008 (6/30/08) Bottle bought at the Schnupp brewery warehouse at Altdrossenfeld and shared with rickgordon, chris o and Ruth in the closed Schnupp biergarten. Clear red color with a medium off-white head. Aroma of malt, some toastiness and caramel. Sweetish malty flavor with some toasted bread and a slightly drier finish. Medium-bodied. rickgordon (3077), Göteborg, Sweden Aug 7, 2008 From bottle at the brewery, it was closed but we got our share.
Red-copper colour. Really malty aroma with bit of toastiness. Good juicy maltiness. High quality. (sun was shining)
JensenTaster (1486), Denmark Jun 27, 2008 (on bottle) Medium to big malt nose and a very sweet taste. No faults here, and as the drinks settles ther are and short, sharp bitterness from the malts too. Very nice, clear, cheastnut brown and a steady, foamy head. malzmiller (11), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA Jul 7, 2007 On tap at the Brauerei Schnupp Gashof.
Sadly all the beers from this family brewery have a huge diacetyl house charecteristic. In the lighter beers it renders them almost undrinkable unless you are washing down movie-theater popcorn. In the Dunkel, the buttery house quality moves towards a butterscotch quality and allows the beer to be more consumable. Hildigöltur (5056), København Ø, Denmark Apr 24, 2007 Bottled. Brownish amber coloured. Malty aroma and flavour with plenty of buttery caramel notes. Rather dry finish. Medium bodied.
