DSG (997), Yuvalim, Israel Aug 9, 2008 (6/30/08) Bottle bought at the Schnupp brewery warehouse at Altdrossenfeld and shared with rickgordon, chris o and Ruth in the closed Schnupp biergarten. Clear light amber color with a medium white head. Aroma has a lot of malt, caramel, some cookie dough and hints of alcohol. Sweet, very malty, caramelly flavor with some biscuits. Medium to full-bodied. Very delicate for a Doppelbock. Highly drinkable. rickgordon (3077), Göteborg, Sweden Aug 7, 2008 From bottle at the brewery, it was closed but we got our share.
Golden colour with average-sized head. Very fruity aroma with alcohol detected. Marzipan sweetness in flavour and very clean. Soft mouthfeel. Bit bisquity. Solid pale bock here! Geiserich (1555), Vienna, Austria Jan 27, 2008 Bottled: Alcoholic, malty and grassy nose. Golden color, low head, quickly and completly diminishing. No visible carbonation. Flavor is malty, fresh with notes of toast and hay. Rastacouere (5418), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Nov 6, 2007 Considering the style, Scores ranging from 1 to 5, 5 being the most intense

Comments: Quinns, London. Huge hay flavours. Undefined malts appear quite pale for a doppelbock. A weird and not very pleasant, alcoholic example.
chriso (4420), London, Greater London, England Aug 31, 2007 Bottle at Quinns, Camden. Copper colour. Rather pale for a Doppelbock. Rather thin too. Slightly malty with a touch of hot alcohol and a rather sweet overall feel. More like a European Strong Lager than a Doppelbock in my view. I see papsoe thought so too. Not great.
