3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
0,5L bottle. Pours hazy copper with huge white head. Aroma is classical hefeweizen (banana, spices, wheat, fruits etc) with some caramel. Taste follows the nose. Overall: solid dunkelweizen, but nothing exciting.

0,5l bottle from the supermarket. Pours a hazy light brown colour with a spectacular head. Aroma has hints of banana and yeast. Taste is more honeylike, maltier and sweet than the regular hefeweizen. A very nice beer.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml bottle - gift from Marduk - thanks!
Ding ding! Unclean, unclean! Chalky minerally aroma at first, some diswateriness, and just a hint of bread and toffee later. Hazy muddy red, large bready doughy head, semi-persistent. Fairly watery body, OK carbonation. Simple sweetish breadiness, some toffee, just a hint of banana. Cleaner than the aroma suggested. Finish pleasantly toffee-ey. Underwhelming, but certainly drinkable. Better than a muddy earthy one, but not as good as a full smooth bready rich one. dunkler hefe is a difficult style to nail to my satisfaction.

Nice taste, wheat, ripe bananas, clove and on the finish more yeast. Sweet at first but with nice bitterness on the aftertaste.
Medium thin body, god carbonation, very dry on the palate.
Overall quite good, no major flaws here.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark amber cloudy body with off-white creamy head. Aromas banana, plums, grains and malts. The carbonation is medium flat with smooth mouth feel. Palate is medium to weak-bodied. Taste has sweet malts, little caramel, yeast and toffee flavors. Aftertaste is short with little malts and hints of vague bitterness.Overall, rather mild and watery for a Dunkelweizen. Not bad but nothing special.
