Appearance is a lot like scrumpy---dark tan and cloudy. Initially a lot of head with medium bubbles, but dissipates quickly. Aroma is sweet, reminiscent of red fruit jam. Mouthfeel is lively, thin. A bit alkaline. Grains, but not a lot of other flavor.

Cloudy and unfiltered; the appearance is actually quite off-putting, looking very muddy in color and texture. Taste is a pleasant mix of dunkle and wheat, with a strong, pleasant after finish of molasses. Lively carbonation, not much head, not much aroma.

From La Copa, Babelsberg. Pours cloudy brown with foam white head. Spicy background, sweet banana, smooth finish. Enjoyed this.

Bottle. Pours yellowish brown and cloudy with a big head. A bit of yeasty nose plus caramel, banana and spices. Banana dominates in the mouth, rather sweet. A bit too much run-of-the-mill.

50cl bottle. - Pours a translucent brackish-brown with quickly evaporating beige head. Very indistinct aroma of faint (vita)malts and yeast. Everything about this beer is unbalanced and contradictory: watery, thin body, with an unusual upfront yeast bitterness (almond), without any of the typical banana sweetness or "chewy" malts; lively carbonation with some lactic acidity, roasted/burnt dry malts. Has the "lively" elements of a Schneider Aventinus sporadically buried somewhere in the mix. All in all drinkable, but a very unbalanced and probably botched macrobrew that will leave you wondering what you’ve had.

27.01.2013. 0,5l Bottle. Flensburg. Golden brown colour with a large thick and creamy white head. Hazy and unclear. Aroma is dominated by banana! Very strong actually. Sweet with notes of candy and bubblegum. Rather thin body that doesnt stand for the strong aromas. A little out of balance maybe.

Aroma: The nose has some banana and wheat, with dark fruit notes, spice, and a little caramel
Appearance: It pours a murky looking orange-brown, with a beige head, and sheety lace
Flavor: Tastes sweet and wheat, banana and clove come out, and it finishes with a little spice
Palate: This one has a light-medium body, and is not watery at all, with lively carbonation
Overall Impression:
Thanks Mike! I thought this one was pretty good even though the scores are not that good overall. It leans sweet, but that is to be expected in this style. There’s not too much to dislike about this one.

Es sieht gut aus, ist fruchtig im Antrunk und doch fehlt da die Power! Eher wässrig als würzig-hefig im Antrunk, mild-prickelnd, aber ohne Ausdruck im Geschmack - schade! Da ist mehr drin gewesen...
