Schofferhofer Grapefruit is the unique combination of sparkling smooth Schofferhofer Hefeweizen with grapefruit flavoring. A refreshing well-rounded taste with tangy character and hints of sweetness is pleasing to the palate. Tastes best ice cold and right from the bottle. 50% of Schofferhofer Unfiltered Hefeweizen blended with 50% grapefruit drink.

What is there to say? Cloudy orange & truly delicious. I was expecting Fresca and got something even better. I was surprised to see this offering in winter, but glad I got it. Sweet & delicious, and at only 2.5% ABV, this would make a great alternative to a fruit flavored soda. I always use caution when rating beers in this category too high, because of their unfair advantage of being flavored and so aromatic compared to "true" beers, so I will use restraint.

16oz can @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Strong aroma of grapefruit. Cloudy orange-grapefruit color, long-lasting 1" white head, lace bits and pieces. Taste is light wheat that is quickly joined by somewhat sweet grapefruit. That’s it. It is refreshing, but more like a novelty brew than a beer.

Peach coloured hazy with a fast dissipating white bubbly head. Looks a lot like an alcopop but more juicy due to the cloudiness. Obvious breakfast grapefruit aroma with a hint of wheat. A little tiny bit of sweetness but mainly a sense of grapefruit ’bitterness’ in the aroma. Flavour is a bit odd - a soft grapefruit flavour with much less bitterness than expected - a little tango-like but less ’bright’. Actually it’s definitely a grower after an initial sense of a ’dirty’ finish this dissappeared rapidly. Texture is very soft due seemingly to very fine bubbles. Soft, pleasant yellow fruity taste lingers after a while leading to a gentle cinnamon like flavour and the carbonation gives it a soft drink feel. Pretty good, really.

appearance: hazy orange gold, with a finger of creamy white head that has a light pinkish tint to it; minimal lacing. aroma: strong grapefruit soda aroma, with an undertone of metal and even a hint of something biological and male. taste: pretty sweet, with strong notes of grapefruit and orange sodas, with just a bit of minerality and a hint of wheat. finish: lasting sweetness, with sparkling carbonation livening the palate. notes: Wasn’t sure how I’d feel about this. Not my favorite aroma (the undertones particularly), but when I had it I really enjoyed it. Wouldn’t drink it every day, but if I want something light and refreshing, it’s great. Basically an adult soda. Really cool matte-finish tallboy can, which has to be better for the beer than the clear glass bottles I’ve also seen it in. Purchased at the Beer and Wine Cellar in Rockville, Maryland.

From a bottle. Thanks Beth! Pours opaque orange gold with a fizzy white head. Tastes like sweet grapefruit candy, club soda, orange, some wheat, and some doughy malt. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like sweet grapefruit candy, orange, and some wheat

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a head of foamy fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a softly carbonated semi-transparent weak orange colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was fruity. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start with a mediumly tingly finish with a lingering fruity aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of tart and fruity. A decent one but not one that I would consider drinking again.

Pours a hazy pinkish yellow, with moderate white head. Definitely grapefruit all around. But, for someone who doesn’t care much for the fruit, it is actually pretty good - mild, smooth and the gf is not overbearing. Leave it to Germans to make a good shandy. Prost!

In the bottle it is hazy, barely translucent orange shading darker towards the bottom. Malt aroma has a strong grapefruit overtone. Flavor is mainly grapefruit, almost more a grapefruit soda than a beer, but still tasty and agreeable. It is surprisingly sweet for a grapefruit beer. Mouthfeel features typical body and fizz. Overall, OK.

11.2oz bottle. Hazy peach-tan. Foamy thin white head. Super easy on the palate. Pronounced pleasant artificial grapefruit aroma. Nice palate break up beverage.
