Smells like grapefruit juice. Tasks like bubbly grapefruit. Looks like a ruby red body with a ring of white carbonation. Very frithy with an acrid sweetness... like grapefruit.

June 2nd, 2014 - There’s not much complexity to the Schofferhofer, but it found its way into the trunk of my car for a road trip for a particular reason. A relative of mine finds nothing to love in beer, save the sweet yet dry refreshment in a bottle of radler. Sadly, her favorite brand was out, but the Schofferhofer seemed a good alternative, clearly labeling itself a fruit beer, two hemispheres of grapefruit under German typography. The color of the brew is almost exactly the same color as the label, a neat mirroring of visual cues, and the aroma its powerfully, and directly the smell of a stressed out grapefruit. And the taste too. It’s more directly fruity than the other radler, and a little clumsier, but still sweet and crisp - a good finish for a meal, but a second best to the relative’s favored beer.

Pours orange with very light head. Aroma is fanta, grapefruit, citrus, some water. Taste is quite same, not very sweet, some flour, candies. Not bad at all!

20th May 2016, 330ml bottle into a Licherweizen glass while on holiday in California. Cloudy orange pour with a full and lasting white blanket of foam on top. Orange and Grapefruit in both the nose and taste, refreshing and different to any hefeweizen I have had before, a bit sweet maybe, but I liked it. Part of a Summer Beer pack from a World Market.

Grapefruit and cherry vibe. Kind of an odd finish. Drinkable, and not too sweet. Tap at barbecue place on 14th.

I like this beer since it has a refreshing feel and the fresh grapefruit scent is mixed well with the hefeweizen to create a nice wheaty feeling. Perfect for a sunny summer day.

Pours cloudy orange into a chalice glass. Heavy aroma of grapefruit must. Sweet body. Not much carbonation. Finishes sweet. This would be an excellent session drink for the summer if you can handle the sweetness.

From a can. Grapefruit aroma with a touch of wheat. Cloudy orange colour with a small head. Grapefruit flavour with some notes of hefeweizen. Medium bodied. Sweet finish.
