Schöfferhofer German Wheat Beer Hefeweizen is brewed in Bavarian tradition using wheat malt. The live yeast gives bottle "conditioning" guaranteeing a refreshing fruity flavor. The yeast sediment also leads to the "cloudy" nature of the beer. Care needs to be taken when pouring. Tilt glass and pour slowly. Before pouring last quarter, roll bottle gently back and forward until sediment is dissolved.

Bottle @ home. Pours a lasting and lacing white head and an average cloudy orange liquid. Aroma of cloves, dough, moderate banana, wheat and candy. Dry, somewhat sweet but yet watery texture and thin mouth feel. Flavor got notes of mild banana peel, spices, cloves, wheat.

500ml bottle pours light orange with large white head. Smells of yeast and light banana aroma, bit of spice. Good taste, mild bananas doughy bread, again a little warm spice. Mouth feel a bit thin and watery, lighter in body than I had expected, nice bitterish lemon finish but otherwise quite short. Well worth 99p from aldi but it’s not a classic.

Pours golden with a huge white head. Big bananary esters on the nose with a smooth mouthfeel. An excellent example of this classic German style. Rated by BrewTom

Cor dourada, turva. Espuma boa, cremosa. No aroma banana, cravo e mel. Paladar frutado com leve acidez. Corpo e retrogosto leve....com suave amargor.

Cloudy golden color with white head. Aroma of malt, banana, spicies. The beer is like a weissbeer has to be. High carbonation, touch of spicies. Pretty good.

Golden orange with impressive creamy white head which lingers right to the bottom of the glass. Typical wheat beer aromas of banana, bubblegum, and yeast. Lovely smooth palate with medium carbonation, I see what others mean when they say that it’s ’watered down’ but for me this simply adds to the refreshing nature of the beer. Admittedly not the best wheat beer out there, but very nice nonetheless.
