COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schöfferhofer German Wheat Beer Hefeweizen is brewed in Bavarian tradition using wheat malt. The live yeast gives bottle "conditioning" guaranteeing a refreshing fruity flavor. The yeast sediment also leads to the "cloudy" nature of the beer. Care needs to be taken when pouring. Tilt glass and pour slowly. Before pouring last quarter, roll bottle gently back and forward until sediment is dissolved.

Bottle. Golden, cloudy, average and fully diminishing head. Light to moderate, malty – some wheat and lightly sweetish aroma, light fruitiness, faint banana and hoppyness. Body is light to medium, malty – some wheat and lightly sweetish flavor, light fruitiness and banana. Finish is short to average, malty – lightly wheaty and dryish, faint fruitiness and banana, light metal. Bit thin-bodied hefe with sharp metal in the finish - nothing special.

50cl bottle. Hazy dark orange, huge white typical head. Banana, yeast, candy in aroma. Slightly sweet, ripe banana, wheaty flavor. Quite refreshing. Thin bodied, watery even.

@ Bierhaus, Stockholm 14-11-8: en ganska rätt fram hefe med tydlig skumbanan och vete. Helt ok.

Bottle from... actually, no idea, some store in Luxembourg anyway. Cloudy, pillowy, big head - it’s a solid looking hefe. Slightly weedy aroma, bit of classic yeast, banana and clove. Flavour is solid enough, hits some of the hefeweizen notes but a bit watery and muted. Finish is abrupt, lacking in finesse.

Una weizen poco conosciuta in Italia. Molto buona, non troppo acidula, perfetta, equilibrata, per una buona bevuta

On tap at Bierhaus, Stockholm. Hazy golden/orange with a medium white head. Aroma and taste of wheat, citrus, some light banana and yeast. The finish was dryish. Easy to drink.

Bottiglia da 500ml. Buona weizen color oro, schiuma abbondante di buona tenuta, banana al naso e al palato leggermente lattico. Nulla di trascendentale ma buona.

Bottle. Big white head. Hazy gold. Yeasty and floral aroma. Yeast, white bread. Edgy and crispy palate.

0.5 l bottle from Alko. Cloudy yellow colour with big head and some bubbles. I almost smelled some bananas, but maybe that was just my imagination. Not bad, but aftertaste has mainly some malts, there are no bananas or citrus fruits. I felt some hops or maybe just CO2. This might be refereshing during a hot summer day, but there are hefeweizens with more interesting taste.
