COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schöfferhofer German Wheat Beer Hefeweizen is brewed in Bavarian tradition using wheat malt. The live yeast gives bottle "conditioning" guaranteeing a refreshing fruity flavor. The yeast sediment also leads to the "cloudy" nature of the beer. Care needs to be taken when pouring. Tilt glass and pour slowly. Before pouring last quarter, roll bottle gently back and forward until sediment is dissolved.

Tall can from Central City Liquor store in Surrey, B.C. A monster beige head on an apricot colored cloudy beer. Slightly fruity nose. Taste is fruity, yeasty, maybe a trace of hop there somewhere. A very serviceable hefeweizen. 3.4.

Hefeweizen from Germany. The wheat flavor is mild. I prefer stronger wheat flavored. If no wheat beer available, then go for it! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A commendable, yet typical Hefe. Fresh aroma with banana, yeast and a slight spiciness. Gorgeous Hefe-appearance with a massive white head and a beautiful hazy orange colour. Taste is fresh, somewhat bitter, yeasty, slight banana, a bit spicy. Medium body, good carbonation and a nice finish. A nice Hefe, if a bit bitter to my tastes when it comes to this genre.

Long lastning white head. Lite clowdy solid golden color. Big banana aroma with some corriander. A bit thin taste and body.

Lunch at Stuttgart airport - asked if they had a Weiss bier: this was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. Chilled and in a tall, fluted glass, I’ve had significantly worse at much better pubs elsewhere. Still don’t know what was in the strange sandwich that came with it though. Something meaty, salty and very chewy.

(On tap in Stralsund, 2014). Slightly tart and fruity aroma of yeast, citrus and sweet malt. Sweet and slightly watery taste of malt and yeast with hints of citrus in the finish.

Bottle at restaurant, Berlin. Has a hazy orange colour with a creamy, medium and off-white head. Fruity aroma of banana, spices, lemon, hay and yeast. The flavour is similar with the addition of hops and grass. Slick mouth feel, and has a light bitterness. A great hefeweizen, maybe a little light flavour.

Cloudy yellow Light aroma of bananas and yeast. Slightly bitter at the end. Easy to drink and perfect match for a hot day.

An 8-month old 500 ml can from The Beer Store. Pours cloudy yellow with loads and loads of white head. Smells like a wheat beer, spices, banana, bubblegum. Same classic notes on the taste. Not quite as intense in flavour and aroma as others in the style, but a nice beer no less. I’d like to try it fresh.

Deep hazy gold with a nice white head. Smooth malt with citrus and a bit of yeast. Hints of spice and a fairly crisp finish.
