Schöfferhofer German Wheat Beer Hefeweizen is brewed in Bavarian tradition using wheat malt. The live yeast gives bottle "conditioning" guaranteeing a refreshing fruity flavor. The yeast sediment also leads to the "cloudy" nature of the beer. Care needs to be taken when pouring. Tilt glass and pour slowly. Before pouring last quarter, roll bottle gently back and forward until sediment is dissolved.

3/5/15 500ml bottle from Aldi pours a cloudy lihgt yellow ale with a white head. Aroma, wheat, lemon, sherbot-like. Taste, gentle apple fruit, citrus with some sweetness, bubblegum and wheat. I rather like this style.and this is a nice example, good to see it available.

Cor dourada, turva. Espuma boa, cremosa. No aroma banana, cravo e mel. Paladar frutado com leve acidez. Corpo e retrogosto leve....com suave amargor.

Bottle from Aldi. Pours Cloudy pale yellow, 2 finger white head. Aroma of bananas, wheat, some yeast. Taste of initial bananas, then wheat, light yeast, touches of orange and its really creamy, light carbonation. Really great!

Cloudy golden color with white head. Aroma of malt, banana, spicies. The beer is like a weissbeer has to be. High carbonation, touch of spicies. Pretty good.

Golden orange with impressive creamy white head which lingers right to the bottom of the glass. Typical wheat beer aromas of banana, bubblegum, and yeast. Lovely smooth palate with medium carbonation, I see what others mean when they say that it’s ’watered down’ but for me this simply adds to the refreshing nature of the beer. Admittedly not the best wheat beer out there, but very nice nonetheless.

Extra carbonated brew with a honey golden colour with a big white frothy head. Wheat and yeasty aroma with a bit of vanilla and pie like quality. some lemon as well. light bodied brew with a light taste, fast profile and not much in terms of flavour. i’m used to hefe’s being a bit more flavourful. disappointing.

Tasted from a 0.5L bottle in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Pours cloudy at first and after swishing out the sediment it becomes downright opaque. Colour is dark yellow edging towards brown in dim light. Absolutely love the dense look of this beer. Smells strongly of yeast, and the taste does not surprise after experiencing the fragrance. It is essence of wheat, untainted other than the massive yeast that compliments it. Conversely, it lacks the subtleties that are found in exceptional beers and the taste of water is certainly present, giving it a simple feel. As I grew up around the famous wheat fields of western Canada, it is a cultural experience to feel the wheat so purely captured by our distant neighbours in Germany.

Fľaša 0,5 l, pivo je kalné s vysokou hustou penou, krúžkuje na pohári. Krásna ovocná vôňa, chuť ľahká s ovocnými tónmi.

Bottle. Aldi. Lovely, cloudy orange colour. Thin, dense, lasting, white head. Decent Hefe aroma, albeit a little light on the wheat. Drinks fresh, and light. Maybe a bit on the thin side. Sweet, first, on the finish, with a dry close.
