2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a clear gold w/ a large white head that quickly disappeared. Sweet, mildly yeasty, grainy aroma. Soft, medium feel. Flavour is somewhat wheaty & fruity (banana) w/ notes of honey & a very quick, dry finish.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(Canned, BBE 03/2007) Very hazy yellow-orange color with a medium, big-bubbled, fading head. Neutral, maybe slightly sweet, citrus-banana aroma. Moderately acidic, not very sweet flavor of wheat and banana with faint smoky hints. Medium-bodied, slicky and foamy-carbonated, quite refreshing palate. Although well balanced, it’s something between a real Hefeweizen and a non-alcoholic one. A bit empty, IMO. Ha - this was the brewery making Clausthaler NA Hefeweizen - I knew it!:)

On draft in Wurtzburg. Poured a golden color with a medium off-white head. Cloudy. Nose of fruit, mostly banana and citrus. Very yeasty. All in all however a decent hefeweizer.

Jeez, the guy below (keeper) is cleary not a fan!
500ml bottle. Cloudy golden colour, with hoppy citrus aromas. Big creamy head. Bitter tasting, with a disapointing thin texture.
I could have been a contender.

Tap at the airport in Dussedlorf, Germany. Poured a hazy golden with a frothy white head. Sweet banana and clove aroma. Taste is lighter than smell, with some banana bread, toffee and lemon. Not bad.

vom Fass. I beleive that some of the yeast was lost in handling. I asked the bartender about how the yeast is kept in suspension in the keg, in contrast to a bottle and he didn’ t have a good answer.
White rocky head. Not as cloudy as I would expect. Less banana and clove than other hefe’s. Lots of wheat grainy aroma and flavor. Hints of Ginger. Good carbonation.
Nice beer, I’m convinced that some of the yeast was lost by the serving/handling and thus impacted my rating.

Bottle, 500ml. Sweet aroma. Huge white head and typical hefe-colour, a bit on the golden side. Quite light taste, but extremly complex, long finish.
