COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schöfferhofer German Wheat Beer Hefeweizen is brewed in Bavarian tradition using wheat malt. The live yeast gives bottle "conditioning" guaranteeing a refreshing fruity flavor. The yeast sediment also leads to the "cloudy" nature of the beer. Care needs to be taken when pouring. Tilt glass and pour slowly. Before pouring last quarter, roll bottle gently back and forward until sediment is dissolved.

Aus Flasche in der Bar, der East Side Hotel Berlin. Big fluffy white head. Cloudy, orangey-golden body. Yeasty with a fresh, wheat scent. Low on the esters, faint banana only. Yeasty and wheaty on the toungue as well. A light sugary banana-ish fruitiness, some herbal notes with a touch of clove. Well-bodied, quite soapy in the mouth. Decent, without standing out.

Thick, cloudy orange colour with a nice thick white head. Aroma of banana. Slightly bitter to the taste. Very light on the palate, surprisingly so considering the thick, creamy look. A nice beer.

Decent reasonably available. Nice hazy orange pour. Nose clove and banana, same in mouth. Slightly over carbonated. A handy beer when nothing else is available.
