Commercial Description:
Schöfferhofer German Wheat Beer Hefeweizen is brewed in Bavarian tradition using wheat malt. The live yeast gives bottle "conditioning" guaranteeing a refreshing fruity flavor. The yeast sediment also leads to the "cloudy" nature of the beer. Care needs to be taken when pouring. Tilt glass and poor slowly. Before pouring last quarter, roll bottle gently back and forward until sediment is dissolved.

The aroma is a fresh wheat aroma with notes of yeast. The color is an unclear orange with a beutiful head. The flavor is a very light wheat flavor with notes of fruit but no bitterness. In the end the flavor dies and becomes boring.

(Bottle 50 cl) Beautiful, golden Hefe - looks like liquid gold... Very fruity with distinct notes of yeast. Decent if not exactly spectacular. 210605

Bottled. Pale orange, lively and hazy with craemy head. Fruity with sweetish nose. Marginally estery. A drier finish with a hit of bitternes and a little bit of banana.

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow/orange with a dense white head. Quite fruity aroma of banana and some bubblegum with an unmistaken wheat note beneath. Flavour is slight esteric swept in the wheat notes. Has a mild bitterness lingering into a rather fruity finish.

Bottle. Looks and tastes like any average hefe. Could do with a bit more taste and wheat character.
