COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schöfferhofer German Wheat Beer Hefeweizen is brewed in Bavarian tradition using wheat malt. The live yeast gives bottle "conditioning" guaranteeing a refreshing fruity flavor. The yeast sediment also leads to the "cloudy" nature of the beer. Care needs to be taken when pouring. Tilt glass and pour slowly. Before pouring last quarter, roll bottle gently back and forward until sediment is dissolved.

When I poured it my expectations just went up since it has a vivid carbonation, unfiltered yellow and small but persisting head. But the aroma and flavour are just not very consistent with this.

UPDATED: JAN 31, 2016 Everything that you would expect from a hefeweizen. Cloudy, orange appearance . Big, decent and frothy foam. Very good lacing. Mixed aroma of a wheat, a banana peel and cloves. Later appears some oranges. Little bit sweet and sour, soft and sour aftertaste. Palate quite thin, watery with a small carbonation. Good, tasty and refreshing but nothing special.

Cerveja leve e refrescante. Não pesa tanto quanto a maioria das cervejas de trigo. Percebi que frequentemente agrada ao paladar feminino. --- It's a light and refreshing beer. It's not so heavy as weizenbiers usually are. I noticed that often appeals to the female palate.

500ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours hazy golden with a very thick white head. Aromas of banana, pepper, bread yeast. Taste has more banana and clove, sticky mouthfeel cleaned up by high carbonation.

On tap at Meat Room, Frankfurt am Main, december 26th 2015. Hazy orange body, big white head. Fruity banana aroma with wheat, mild spicy taste of clove, with yeast, citrus and bread. Good sweet finish with a mild bitterness. A decent german hefeweizen, but doesn’t really stand out amongst most of them.

Draught @ Beefeater. Pours hazy tiny burnt yellow with a frothy and creamy white head that slowly dissipates while leaving some thick lacing on the glass. Smell is subtle, slightly malty and slightly fruity eatery with white bread, banana bread, hay, cloves, minerals and lemon peal. Taste is slightly sweet, very tiny bitter, malty, slightly fruity and slightly spicy. Mouthfeel is soft, round and medium bodied. Finish is is tiny sweet, tiny bitter and very tiny sour with white bread, banana bread, wheat flour, red pears, hay, cloves, minerals and lemon peal. Decent simple hefe. Bit red pear heavy.
