Schöfferhofer German Wheat Beer Hefeweizen is brewed in Bavarian tradition using wheat malt. The live yeast gives bottle "conditioning" guaranteeing a refreshing fruity flavor. The yeast sediment also leads to the "cloudy" nature of the beer. Care needs to be taken when pouring. Tilt glass and pour slowly. Before pouring last quarter, roll bottle gently back and forward until sediment is dissolved.

Can. Light banana, wheat and vegetable aroma. Little bit spicy. Taste is ok, but feels a bit thin. Not so sweet and creamy as some hefeweizens. No vegetables in the taste thankfully. Not quite doing it for me.

500ml bottle from The Beerhive. Big white smooth bubbly head lasts well, nice lacing. Hazy golden body. Nose is banana and yeast. Flavour is banana, cloves, a little toffee. Slight bitterness on the finish Full mouthfeel, light carbonation. Flavours are quite gentle on this one, really easy to drink though.

Let tåget gylden med holdbart hvidt skum. Duften er blomsterrig med orange og nelliker. Smagen til gengæld lidt flad og unuanceret. Svag bitterhed i den tørre eftersmag.

Cloudy yellow with frothy white head. Light aroma of bananas and almonds. Soft palate with medium carbonation. Fresh banana taste with wheaty finish with slight peppery toasted ness at the end. Drinkable but not complex ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Yellow, light-orange, nice huge foam head, hazy. Fresh and fruity aromas, some yeast, perfectly ripe banana. Taste is refreshing, fruity and wheaty, little boozy. Almost like a Saison, low carbonation. Little development but perfect for a hot summer’s day.

Very rich ripe banana nose is very appealing. Appearance is pale and hazy with a thick white head and thick retention. Palate is dry with wheat, and yeast domination, and a bit of the banana. Pretty good. Thanks for the trade Ron!

500ml can. Intense banana confectionary initially, a slightly doughy aroma later on. Light golden hazy pour with an frothy white head. Juicy fruit in the mouth, slight tang in the linger. More enjoyable--for me--as the initial carbonation subsides. Great VFM (purchased in Germany).

En halvliter på torget i Kassel. Typisk veteöl grumlig lite mörkare färg. Doftar och smakar vete. Klen eftersmak

11.2 oz bottle- Pours hazy orangeish golden with a one finger head that reduces fairly quickly. The aroma is citrusy, banana, yeast, slight off note of over fermentation, just realized this expired back in January which possibly led to the off note. The taste is orange, grapefruit, tropical and yeasty. Easy drinking but there a lot better German Hefe’s.
