COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schöfferhofer German Wheat Beer Hefeweizen is brewed in Bavarian tradition using wheat malt. The live yeast gives bottle "conditioning" guaranteeing a refreshing fruity flavor. The yeast sediment also leads to the "cloudy" nature of the beer. Care needs to be taken when pouring. Tilt glass and poor slowly. Before pouring last quarter, roll bottle gently back and forward until sediment is dissolved.

tap in berlin... aroma was very weak and appearance resembled something of a cross between vomit and piss... flavor was slightly better with the typical hefe coming through, but i cannot quite account for the comparatively high ranking this beer received

Whole Foods, Bowery 33cl ($2): Pours a cloudy orange with a white head. Aroma is a bit of banana and clove, and some ambiguous light fruity flavour. Not too sweet. Slightly hoppy. Almost watery, but not really... more just light. Very drinkable nevertheless.

Orange hazy beer with large white head. Typical wheat beer aromas and flavors with citrus fruits and bananas. Thin body but a long finish.

Mild banana and citrus aroma, hint of clove. Opaque yellow orange color. Sweet tart flavor, almost sour. Tangy, slick body with little to no finish. Too subtle as hefes go.

Average Weizen. Little bit sour, not a full taste. No competition to my favorite Weihenstephaner.

Yeast and banana with a pretty good palate. Expected much worse after having had their awful kristall once. Bottle gift from uckelman.

Bottle at the Dinasty Residence, Tirana. Poured a cloudy orange amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is yeasty with a little mild crushed banana. The flavour is smooth yeast, malt and those bananas linger on the smooth but slightly watery palate. A decent Hefeweizen but won’t win many awards I feel.

Bottle. Yellow-brown, foggy with a large white head. Crisp yeasty banana flavored aroma. Taste is watery, a bit cardboardy. There is some citrus, definite banana and yeast aroma. Somewhat bitter overall which is ok. Alcohol comes through too much in the middle. Aftertaste is gone too soon. Refreshing light wheat beer still.

Big head. Cloudy orange brew. Smells like dusty yeast and citrus. Tastes a little lactic sour with big malt backbone and strong yeast flavors. A little too malt flavor centric for a hefeweizen for my tastes, but it has some of the great accompanying flavors and mouthfeel. Light carb.

Hazy golden colour with a frothy white lasting head. Noses of light hop aromas, bit floral and orange peel. Lively on the palate with a medium body, bit thin and orangey zesty bitterness and light sweetness on the palate. Finish is lightly mouthwatering but only short-medium long. Nice Hefeweizen.
