alexen84 (26), Australia Sep 1, 2007 500Ml Bottle - Poured into tradition Schofferhofer glass, nice big fluffy head, light cloudy amber appearance. Tropical fruit and fresh cut grass on the nose. Nice smooth foamy mouthfeel. Excellent weizen, especially for the price.
gilvanblight (360), Windsor, Ontario, Canada Nov 28, 2008 Strong citrus scent from something that looks like a Creamcicle. Very sweet with low carbonation. A touch of that grapefruity bite in the back of the throat I don’t like much. SeanMacGC (102), Dublin, Ireland Nov 20, 2008 Bottle. Pours golden, with white head. Yeast on the nose, with citrus notes. More citrus on the tongue, with high carbonation. A decent enough Hefeweizen. Pinball (816), Allerød, Denmark Nov 18, 2008 nice aroma, hefewzen like, dry, slightly sweet, no fruity distractions. neat. appears sloyudy yellow, white head, flavor is wheat, sweetness, citrus, slight alc. overall a nice hefe. blackbock (12), Australia Nov 1, 2008 (bottle) upon opening the subtle aroma of banana was evident. Moderately carbonated, the beer poured a cloudy orange colour. First mouthfull contained pretty much all of the expected Hefeweizen character, although the banana flavour was somewhat muted. After a few more mouthfuls, the beer’s hop bitterness became more apparent and the wheat character remained. Mouthfeel is extremely watery, but this is not a bad thing in a beer of this style.
Pretty reasonable example of a Hefeweizen, if not Bavarian. Mogwai (193), Askeby, Denmark Oct 20, 2008 Bottle. Hazy golden colour with white head. Flavor and taste of yeast, wheat, hops. Slightly bitter and fruity.
