Schöfferhofer German Wheat Beer Hefeweizen is brewed in Bavarian tradition using wheat malt. The live yeast gives bottle "conditioning" guaranteeing a refreshing fruity flavor. The yeast sediment also leads to the "cloudy" nature of the beer. Care needs to be taken when pouring. Tilt glass and pour slowly. Before pouring last quarter, roll bottle gently back and forward until sediment is dissolved.

Yellow to orange cloudy. White dense foam. Strong aroma of banana and apricot. High in carbon average body. Not strong flavour, light fruit. light but bitter aftertaste that gets magnified

Pours cloudy orange with a fluffy white head. Aroma is ripe banana’s, orange peel and wheat. Taste is a little lacking for a hefeweizen, some ripe banana and that Belgian yeast kind of flavour they take on but pretty weak to be honest. Shame because I love hefeweizens.

Bottle. Pours hazy bright orange with large white creamy head, citrus aroma, high carbonation, refreshing citrus peel flavor, slightly bitter taste that ends abruptly, very refreshing hefeweizen!

Bottle from Trinkgut in Kleve. The beer is hazy golden colored and pours a large and stable white head, with nice carbonation. The aroma is overripe bananas (very intense), but also wheat and yeast and a little citrus. The taste is light bodied and mildly bitter from the spices, and in the background a nice sweetness from the bananas and the yeast. Finish is a little sour, refreshing and light bitter. Tasted better ones, but not bad at all.

Bottle - off orange / yellow, slightly cloudy with heavy carbonation and thick white head. Decent orangey aroma. Smooth in mouth and on tongue - maybe lacking a bit of body. Easily drinkable, but slightly down on lasting taste - still very nice.

A little bit earthen, maybe even moldy taste. Some fruity sweetness and just a little bit of tartness, very small carbonation. Notes of banana and clove. A very smooth and nice beer to drink!

The beer is op and top weizen. It has the extreme trouble and a beautiful orange yellow color. It looks really fresh. The layer of white foam collapses quickly. The smell is good. There is that typical weizen aroma. There is some almond, a little orange and lemon, delicious. The taste has the same aroma’s, but a lot more bitterness. A little bit to much. The bitterness outbalances the sweetness a little. That should be fixed.

Another weizen. Pours a hazy and pale golden color. On top, there’s a decent foamy white head. Wheaty aroma, some fruity notes and a bit of spices. Taste is sweet and wheaty. Finishes with mild bitterness and a slight soury feel. Decet one, but nothing spectacular about it.
