Schöfferhofer German Wheat Beer Hefeweizen is brewed in Bavarian tradition using wheat malt. The live yeast gives bottle "conditioning" guaranteeing a refreshing fruity flavor. The yeast sediment also leads to the "cloudy" nature of the beer. Care needs to be taken when pouring. Tilt glass and pour slowly. Before pouring last quarter, roll bottle gently back and forward until sediment is dissolved.

Cloudy tan/orange with decent head. Aroma is typical weizen: wheat with hints of banana and clove. Tart and refreshing with subtle banana and clove. Finish is clean but the body is a tad thin. Overall, a decent weizen.

6/3/2007 1:38:14 AM Bottle at Connection at Frankfurt Airport. A citrusy beer with flavours of pineapple, citrus, banana. Creamy and, oh so smooth.

Cumulonimbus head. Sweetly delicious although verging on the bland. Bavarian wheat bought at Aldi. It cost barely over a pound, so happy there although Aldi working practices and staff management leaves a lot to be desired. Mellow.

Pours cloudy Amber/orange with an off white head. Tastes like an average wheat beer, aroma has notes of sweet banana but that doesn't translate to the taste very much. Ok wheat beer but there are better ones out there for sure. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: NOV 11, 2015 Aroma: wheat, a bit of yeast, very slight lemon. Appearance: orangish yellow; cloudy; head huge, fine, and relatively stable. Taste: moderately sour, mildly sweet, and just a bit bitter. Palate: body medium; carbonation seems almost fizzy, but in a more subtle way; mouth feel a little foamy; finish faintly bitter, very sticky. Overall: pretty good. I don?t very much like how my mouth seems glued after each swig, but other than that really nice.

Rating #1268 - 04.10.2014 - German beer shindig at Devine. Hazy golden pour, white cap fades slowly. Aroma is heavy on yeast, mild fruitiness (citrus). Taste is well balanced, sweet fruits, clove, mild spiciness, and a hefty yeasty kick. Not bad.

Cerveza de color amarillo / naranja con una buena cabeza blanca. Aroma afrutado de plátano y de trigo. En boca es ligero. Tiene un sabor suave y un amargor persistente con un final afrutado. cerveza normal.
