Draught at Schönbuch. Pours hazy bright gold with a frothy white head. Aroma is bright with malt and floral notes, nothing off. Taste is very clear malt with a light hop finish, soft carbonation, medium-light body - nicely balanced!

Bottle from gefako in Reutlingen. Easy going Zwickel with a bit dryness, some hay and grass in. But in the end this one is not in the near of being exceptional when it comes to Zwickel beers. Ok one, but not outstanding.

Bottle. Very light milky, but more to the clear side, golden colour with low steady head. Nose of hops. Taste of fresh hops, ripe grains, straw, flowers, bread and torf. Very easy and nice to drink, really refreshing and quaffable.

Sweet, light barnyard barley malt aroma. Sweet malt and strong weedy hops flavor. Light body. Not bad, not great.

Bierkrug (1919) - Idar-Oberstein (In Iraq), Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - MAY 5, 2011
330 ml bottle from Stuttgart Germany at home. Pours a lightly hazy gold, with a short white head. Aroma is a grassy, earthy malt. Taste is sweet but a lot of carbonation like most Zwickels. Palate is mellow and smooth. An above average beer but a average Zwickel.

Bottle (thanx to Quack-Duck!): Pale golden, a bit hazy, small foamy layer; grainy-dusty nose with a hardly detectable fruity-yeasty tinge, but a hoppy touch instead; light bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied and soft; slight sourish-fruity finish, grains and hops included. Decently crafted, but boring.....

(bottle) Hazy, pale golden colour with a blond mid-sized foamy head. Slightly sour doughy and yeasty aroma with shy grainy notes and herbal hops. Slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slightly yeasty malty taste with grainy and subtle fruity notes; rather dry and slightly hop bitter finish. Clean and decent but also very simple. 03.VII.10
