Ordered half-liter on tap in Boblingen. Yet to find in stores, so it may be draft only product. Nice, clear golden color, adequate foamy head, although not as bitter as I’ve come to expect from German edel pils. Smooth and crisp, it was a good match with my german meal.

500 ml bottle from Stuttgart Germany at home. Last of the Schonbuchs from this trip. Is a gold pale color with small white head. Aroma is that nice sweet malty Helles smell that I love so much. Taste is fine Helles type with the sweet malty taste and some black olives. Palate short, sweet and mellow. Another fine beer from Schonbuch Brau. A really nice Helles.

Bottle (kindly delivered by Q.-D.!): Pale greenish-golden, quickly collapsing loose white head, lazy carbonation; grainy-strawy nose with a light acidity; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, quite soft; short strawy finish with a light bitterness in the aftertaste. Quite monotonous....

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Grainy malty aroma with herbal and slightly grassy hops. Moderately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Soft pale malt-character with grainy spots and present herbal hops; quite dry and hop bitter finish. Pretty similar to the Horst Hell Lager. 03.VII.10

bottle, bought @ the brewery. Clear golden colour, mid-sized white head. Malty nose. Medium-bodied, solid malty base balanced with the right amount of aromatic hops. The beer captures the house character very well. Pleasantly hoppy in the lingering finish. A very well crafted and well balanced beer. A pleasure!
