Black color with small tan head. Aroma is coffee, toffee, caramel, toasty,. Taste is sweet, just a little sour with long bitter, coffee-like, finish. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. I have to say that for my taste it’s pretty good. I expected less.

Bottle, near black with a beige head, roast treacle nose with a hint of pineapple, thick texture with cinder toffee notes leads to a rich and sweet, yet dry and bitter body with liquorice and earthy notes. Dry bitter and burnt caramel finish. Not as complex as some, but very good.

Bottle @ Papsø. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate and licorice aroma. Roasted malty chocolate, honey and licorice flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate and licorice finish.

Bottle at Chriso Easter "Flags of many nations" Tasting, 31/03/13 big thanks to Jan for a rare Deutsch Impy stout! Mid black with a thin tan head. Nose is roast malt, dark fruit, liqourice, berry fruit, touch of lactose. Taste comprises brown sugars, dark fruits, touch of chocolate, liqourice, molasses. Full bodied with fine carbonation lending towards a sweet boozey finish. Good stuff!

Tasting at ChrisO’s. Semi opaque dark brown beer little pale tan head. Light soft palate, a little dry. Light and slightly soft dark malt, turns sweeter, Touch of dark chocolate and licorice. Light frothy finish. Not bad.

Pours deep dark brown, with a caramel head. Smells of dried fruit and roasted malts. Tastes of caramel, roasted malts, chocolate, and bitter. Finishes clean. Delicious Imperial Stout.

25-MAR-2013, bottle @Papsø tasting. Unclear dark, dark brown with low tan head. Aroma is chocolate, prunes, and roast. Taste is hard roasted again with chocolate - even heavier than aroma. Charred and a little soy. Long roasted bitter finish. Medium carbonation, body above average. Fine German.

Bottle at Papsø. Pitch black coloured with a small beige head. Sweet and roasted aroma of caramel, licorice and dried fruits. Sweet and roasted flavour of caramel, soy sauce and alcohol. Roasted and alcoholic finish.
