erickok (3693) - Tours (and Paris), FRANCE - AUG 15, 2013
Copper, mostly clean body with small frothy head. Decent hop aromas, somewhat sweet malt base, forest smells and sweet sugar. Some alcohol shining through too. Pretty sweet base and just enough hops to make it work as IPA. Body is a bit cloying with all this alcohol and quite (filtered?) clean body. Alcohol warmth. Bit of an English IPA on steroids. Tasty though, but too alcoholic to be super drinkable. I like my IPA more rough. (33cl bottle from Wasana’s Getränken Oase)

Bottle at red hot, Munich. Glowing amber. Herbs, grass, dry finish. Not extreme, a well crafted IPA, hope it will find a market.

Grima (2101) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - JUN 10, 2013
Bottle from Bierzwerg!
Pours strong amber colored with creamy off-white head. Smells slight floral-hoppy and caramelly. Starts with sweet fruity hops, lots of citrus and delicious tropical fruits. Seems to include Simcoe. Middle part is also tropical fruity with some pinevwoods and a hint of caramel malt. Goes into a bitter-dry, fruity hoppy-oily finish. Wow, what a surprise!!!

330ml bottle, orange-brown pour with a thin lacing head, strong hoppy pine, citrus and exotic fruit nose, palate is bitter and hoppy with hints of dark marmalade and a rich orangey-peachy malt backbone, notes of candy sugar and pine, all very well integrated.

Bierkrug (2133) - - APR 26, 2013
330 ml bottle from Wasana’s in Germany. Pours a clear coppery color with a soft creamy head. Aroma is pine, grapefruit and candy. Taste is well a hoppy IPA and like the aroma but without the candy. Palate is dry and tart. Not my style.
