COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Specially created for the Jubilee Year 2005! The Schönramer Weissbier stands out thanks to a classic old Bavarian step brewing process - traditional open fermentation followed by bottle or barrel fermentation yield a character which convince wheat beer connoisseurs and fans of our company conditioned fermenting beers. Right in aroma with tangy liveliness and velvety mouthfeel in taste. The dominant flavor components are found again in the taste. Schönramer weissbeer is unfiltered and is not conserved with heat. 12.7°P

16.9oz bottle 7/12/15 (Courtesy of TerryR)-38° in Weizen Glass-Pours a murky orange with a small white head. Aroma of wheat, coriander, citrus, and banana. Taste of the same with a bit more citrus. This light to medium bodied brew fits the bill on a hot summer day.

Draught at the brewery tap room. Orangey almost amber weizen with a delicately fruity nose and even more spiciness. Expansive mouthfeel, highly carbonated. Very rounded wheaty mouthfeel, full bodied and protein laden. Rich and creamy, tasty, refreshing. Textbook example.

A well rounded Weizenbier that has everything a weizen needs to have. The Festweisse has a great combination of freshness and fruitiness that you search long for. A really well rounded beer that needs to have been tasted.

Tap. Pours hazy apricot, medium white head, displays slowly, good lacing. Aroma is light, wheat, lemon, clove. Flavor is the same, light plus sweet, minimal bitterness, banana and clove, plus some lemon. A bit of oddness. Fullish body for style.

Bottle. Light fruity, with the esters dominated by a damp, basementy yeastiness. Clove and nutmeg in the spicy finish. Very rustic, excellent hefeweizen.

Schönramer Weissbier has an extremely thick, foamy, off-white head, a hazy, fiercely bubbly, yellow-gold appearance, and a few spots of lacing left on the glass. I swished and poured in the bottom contents, but noticed no changes in appearance, thereafter. The aroma is of white bread, banana, bubble gum, cloves, and sugar, and the flavor is the same. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Schönramer Weissbier finishes semi-dry, easy drinking, and refreshing. RJT

500ml bottle bought at Great Food Hall in Pacific Place, Admiralty.

Cloudy hazy straw golden colour with lots of dirt-like yeast sediments; Two and a half finger head with crumpety off-white foam which lasts for 3 minutes; Excellent sticky lacing and very fizzy carbonation; Very fragment aroma of light malt, with strong vanilla, banana, sugar, wheaty tartness, caramel, cream cake, strong ester, cloves, spices, strong yeast, lemon and grass; Mid to light sweet taste of light malt, with strong wheat, light tartness, very light banana, caramel, phenolic, light cloves, spices, strong yeast, light lemon and very light bitter grassy hops; Close to medium body. Quite slick and slightly creamy palate; Mouth Feel is pretty rich strong body, barley and wheat maltyness is quite even, tartness is quite low and fairly light sweetness comes through. Solid caramel as base. Phenolic and clove are moderate at best. Yeasty all the way. Okay... Hoppiness is light lemon and light grassy hops in nose, somewhat stronger in taste. Bitterness is very low-fi for a mostly wheaty sweet finish; Fairly dry after taste. Smooth and wheaty to mouth.

Comments: Its aroma made a pretty nice first impression, and its taste, while simple in approach, is solid, quite wholesome and inoffensive. A richer body is something I always like in a weiss, so this one is quite pleasing. Pretty nice but can do more.
