Bottle. Well, the German marzen beers are lighter than American ones. Also, they taste more like they were brewed in the middle of a hay field. Not really bad just nothin great.

500ml bottle. Great golden color with a dense one-finger white head. The aroma is floral with honey and light bread. The flavor is sweet and bready, but not too exciting. This is an Oktoberfest? Seems like a helles. Light and nicely carbonated. Overall fine but not too exciting.

Tap. Clean lemon gold. Average head. Honied breakfast cereal and light lemon on nose. Reserved. Light body. Grassy, biscuit flavors. Straight forward. Alright. Eminently drinkable.

Pours out of the bottle in a clear golden colour with low head and medium to smooth body. Aroma of hops and straw followed by a taste of mild hops, straw, bread, barley, caramel and flowers. Mild and flowery finish. Drinkable.

Cow manure, hay nose. Clear yellow, thick head. Sweet malt, a little cardboard, hay, mulberries. Too sweet for me. Old bottle, but still sampled before best by date. Not a very good example of maerzen.

Moravius (703) - Berlin, GERMANY - JAN 31, 2014
Flasche vom Bierzwerg-Onlineladen.
