Bottle. Pours a crystal clear pale yellow color with a white, billowing, foamed head. Clinging, sudsy webbed lacing. Malt and grain in the aroma. Flavor is slightly sweet up front followed by some hop bitterness. Dry mouthfeel. Crisp and clean pils.

Daught at TJ’s: Aroma of malt, and slight hops. Poured pale yellow in color with a large, creamy, dense, white head that lasted throughout. Clear. Not sparkling. Flavor is lightly bitter. Tastes of malt, noble hops, and a hint of corn. Light body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Pils malt, noble hop finish is lightly dry.

glennmastrange (1888) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - JAN 23, 2012
Bottle. Moderate malt and hops notes of grain, straw, herbs and lemon peel, faint soap for the yeast, with cooked vegetable and pepper in the background. Head is average size, fizzy, white with fair thin lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is sparkling clear pale yellow. Flavor starts lightly to moderately acidic and lightly bitter, and the fairly long finish is lightly acidic and bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery with a lively carbonation. Broken down this Classic German Pilsener is nothing to write home about, but it is very refreshing, very true to style and went down very easy.

clear pale golden with a fine, creamy white head. Nice aroma, grass, floral, light plant sap. Highish carbonation, fine dry and light mouthfeel. Flavour has good pine, grass, light floral. Crispy doughy malts. Good bitterness. Nice.

Bottle. Pours a golden lager/pils color as expected w/ white head. Mildly hoppy aroma. A bit dull actually. Was slightly crisp, actually a bit smooth for a German Pils, thought there might be a little bit more crispy bite. Went down easy enough. Nothing remarkable.

Bottle from Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours clear yellow with a massive white head and a floral aroma. There is a crisp pilsner flavor with a dry slightly bitter finish. A standard European pilsner.

A: The beer pours a very pale yellow color with a rocky white head that is retained very well. S: Definite skunk on the nose which worries me. Plenty of lager yeast and pale, cracker malts. Some lemon zest and floral hops, and a light fruitiness--maybe apples. T: Pale malts with a soft bread flavor. Lemon zest, lightly bitter, earthy, and floral hops. Some cracker malts and a light sweetness. A light but pleasant beer. M: Light in body and moderate to high in carbonation. O: Would have been nice if it didn’t have the skunkiness. Otherwise, not bad.

Dry hop aroma. Yellow pour with a white head. Clean, bitter, not metallic, and has a nice grain close. Smooth and good going down.
