wet-hopped version.
clear pale golden with a fine, creamy white head. Nice aroma, grass, floral, light plant sap. Highish carbonation, fine dry and light mouthfeel. Flavour has good pine, grass, light floral. Crispy doughy malts. Good bitterness. Nice.

Bottle. Pours a golden lager/pils color as expected w/ white head. Mildly hoppy aroma. A bit dull actually. Was slightly crisp, actually a bit smooth for a German Pils, thought there might be a little bit more crispy bite. Went down easy enough. Nothing remarkable.

Bottle from Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours clear yellow with a massive white head and a floral aroma. There is a crisp pilsner flavor with a dry slightly bitter finish. A standard European pilsner.

A: The beer pours a very pale yellow color with a rocky white head that is retained very well. S: Definite skunk on the nose which worries me. Plenty of lager yeast and pale, cracker malts. Some lemon zest and floral hops, and a light fruitiness--maybe apples. T: Pale malts with a soft bread flavor. Lemon zest, lightly bitter, earthy, and floral hops. Some cracker malts and a light sweetness. A light but pleasant beer. M: Light in body and moderate to high in carbonation. O: Would have been nice if it didn’t have the skunkiness. Otherwise, not bad.

Dry hop aroma. Yellow pour with a white head. Clean, bitter, not metallic, and has a nice grain close. Smooth and good going down.

Bottle. Pours a very light color with a wispy, pillowy head. Smell is very grassy and lemony, almost like lemon balm. The taste is crisp and a bit vegetal. Finishes clean with a slight plasticy linger.

Golden pilsener. Barley like aroma with a hint of malts and spicy hops. Taste the hop is much stronger than the smell, the aftertaste is also quite bitter. Beer is balanced, but to one dimensional for my taste.

Bottle. Late to notice the best before date of November 12, 2010. Oops. Pours with a large and fully retentive white head over a straw yellow body. The head leaves good lace. At cold temperatures there is a bit of chill haze which fades as it warms a bit. Aromas are bready and grainy with a light floral hop character. A bit grassy as well. No esters, clean fermentation. Light oxidation in the form of a mild cardboard character. Light spicy hops. Flavors are balanced towards bitterness with a hint of oxidation. A light grassy hop flavor remains, and lasts through the finish that is firmly bitter. Clean fermentation and crisp. Bready and grainy pilsner malt character. Lively bubbles with a light body. Lingering hop bitterness. No warmth, or alcohol presence. Crisp. Probably not in the best of condition (age wise).
