Bottled 33cl. Clear pale yellow with a white head. (Surprisingly pale appearance). Honey, melon, spicy hops and cookie dough showing up in the nose which is deeply inviting. Good bitterness. Lovely malt back. Like drinking nectar.

330 ml bottle at Il Maltese. Rich golden yellow, pretty clear, with a small, frothy and not too persistent bright white head. On the nose pale/bready malts, some burnt caramel and slightly toasted malts, peaches and apricots, a hint of white grapes and some alchool presence. Extremely sweet, even cloying I’d say. Very sirupy and quite dry, pretty much only malt forward. A little yeast influence too. Unpleasent dusty and almost rubbery aftertaste. Soft to average carbonation, medium body, slightly oily texture. Bad bottle, or just not for me.

Bottle. Malty first and foremost but the lemon tea and apricot notes from the hops are more than welcome. Tastewise it suffers from that common pale bock deficiency - it is alcoholic astringent. They poured in also generous amounts of hops to create an underlined bitterness so that not all is lost. But I still feel lowering the ABV by two points would do the beer really good.

Bottle from Craft Beer Store Hamburg, straw coloured with a fast-settling head, nose is corn and herby hops, acrid-bitter and vegetal over a sweetish body. A little too dry and acrid for my taste.

Bottle from Hopfen & Malz, Berlin. Clear, bright gold pour with a thin foam head, aroma is earthy, lychee. Taste is initial sweetness set back by earthy hops notes, malty finish, some fruity elements coming and going. Enjoyable

Bottle. Ight hazy golden, white head..grassy and fruity nose. Fullbodied sweet typical maibockish base, sparkly grassy and ciric hop counterpoint which breaks it open nicely. Orange, lemongrass, lime aftertaste.

Pailhead (4897) - Brownstown, Michigan, USA - JUN 21, 2014
Bottle: The aroma consists of honey, cereal/grain, apple, yeast, and faint straw notes. It pours a mostly transparent golden-orange with a touch of haze. It has a large creamy white head that has very good retention. There is a lot of soapy lacing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a honey and a touch of apple. The finish has light-moderate straw with some faint cereal notes and a hint of spice. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation and a somewhat soft mouthfeel.
