Medium brown. Big head. Sweet and a light sticky dark sugar. Rouch of apple note. Boozy, has a strong barrel note, so sticky as well. Assertive and not necessarily balanced.

Poured from the bomber from tavour. Thin head, little lacing. Aroma is of alchohol. Flavor isn’t to much alcohol, the oak comes through, some smokey. Pretty woodsy though. Pretty good. I just burped up some dark cherry flavors. Yum.

A nice smoky, woody beer. Pours a deep red with a tan head. Smells of smokiness and wood, whiskey and maltiness. Taste is sweet, with lots of whiskey, vanilla and smoked wood. Had in the bottle.

This is the 2014 version drank in the 2015 season (so, a year of age). Deep reddish-brown with minimal tan head. Chocolate, dark fruits, caramel, bourbon, vanilla, plum, and brown sugar. Full bodied. Plenty of booze in the finish along with sweet malts, and brown sugar. Very well done.

n tap at the Schooner Exact tasting room in Seattle. Rainy Saturday afternoon, with brunch.
Color/Look: Dark brown, clear
Smell: not a lot of aroma, no alcohol smell, woody
Taste: taste like scotch, strong alcohol, like a mixture of scotch and beer, becomes sweet as it the beer gets warmer
As the beer gets warmer, smell and taste comes out

Bomber from Special Brews in Lynwood, WA. Pours dark brown with a creamy/foamy tan head. Mild bourbon and a little chocolate aroma through a lot of head. Med body or so. Flavor is bourbon, wood, chocolate. Decent drink. Glad I didn’t keep it til summer. Finishes somewhat astringent with chocolate here and there. Bourbon too.

UKH on tap at CBB in Osaka - pricey at 1200 yen! Schooner Exact Hoppy Woodsman pours a deep mahogany brown with a creamy tan head. It has a sweet woodsy oak aroma. The taste is great, a bit smokey, sweet whiskey, oak, vanilla and some coffee+dark chocolate. Smooth med-full body. Great, it’s well balanced and smooth drinking.
