Bottle from BevX360, Bellingham
Hazy light amber color with medium sized head. Fruity aroma, mellow, peachy with a touch of tropical fruit. Off-dry mouthfeel, but smooth; it has a delicate toffee-malt backbone, a bit crackery, the right canvas for a hoppy beer; correct bitterness level, with a reasonable portion of hop fruitiness and some hop resins.
Fresh and drinkable; the beer I like to drink.

Bottle. Pours a mostly clear amber color with a rather thick off-white head on there. Nose is very hop forward, which I like, and has some floral and piney notes coming off it. Taste is pleasantly bitter, though just a tad heavy for me. Nice IPA, though.

22oz bomber from Elise. Pretty solid West Coast IPA, dances a little into the new school with the Citra. This doesn’t smash you over the head with hops, but they are certainly present. Toasty, biscuity malt backdrop, touches of caramel, resin. Really enjoyable IPA, well crafted.

One of the most memorable Schooner Exact beers to date. Bronze body, firm head with several millimeters of carbonation. Lovely piney nose. Touch of citrus with a clean resin to it--quite entrancing. The body speaks of pine and modest citrus with some bite to it. Watery mouthfeel, but quenching. Juicy orange finish.

Draft at the brewery. They listed it @ 6.0%. Hoppier than the 3 Grid with less of a hop-malt balance. Very good.

On tap @ Schooner. This has transitioned to a yearly seasonal, no longer just for Hopvine Pub. Listed here as 6.1% abv. Probably should be a new listing, but I’ll put it here. Pours bright golden amber with thin lacey white head. Aroma is mild, slightly nutty pale malt, with fresh floral and citrusy hops. Taste is light crisp caramel malt, with big fresh hops - nice earthy, bitter grapefruit notes. Aggressively hopped such that it’s almost a fresh hop IPA. Nice changeup from the 3 Grid - not necessarily hoppier, just fresher hop notes.

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2014 The beer I tried was not called "15th Anniversary;" merely Hopvine IPA. Serving: from tap at Schooner Exact Tap Room. Aroma: moderate cat piss hops. Appearance: small, frothy, white, initial head with good lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, dark-yellow body. Taste: moderately bitter initial flavor and moderately bitter, grapefruit finish with average duration. Palate: medium body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Overall: excellent. Great hoppy aroma but not overly bitter.

Bottle:   Orangish straw, fiery, moderate to large foamy white head, nice lacing.   Sweet resiny nose, faint candied citrus peel, a little fruity.   Not as sweet or fruity on the tongue.   Soft pith and peel, a touch of earthen malts.   Has a minor powdery pixie stix like sweetness to it.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Mild bitterness on the finish.   Has a fresh earthy aspect about it, but it also brings in a little bit of soil aspect to it as well.   Not a bright floral/citrusy example, despite the nose leaning that way.   However, tiz decent.

Un profil tropical terrassé par les malts biscuit se manifeste à la première lampée, l’amertume est volatile et la buvabilité évidente. Peu spectaculaire mais sa gentillesse est appréciée à défaut d’être mémorable.
