COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The latest in our Imperial Project series, the brewers crafted the stout to be medium bodied, with a complex malt profile which lends notes of chocolate and sweet molasses. Far from a malt bomb, the Stout’s malt sweetness is balanced by the subtle hop character.

3rd rater! It's a contest! Like a bakers chocolatey nose with light roast some patent malt a little alcohol and a little spicy hops. Dark brown also black pour thin tan head nice lace. Flavors of cocoa light chocolate a little roast touch of bitterness. Really well balanced and well put together. Light bitterness and grain in the finish. Solid.

Draft at the brewpub. Very good IS; loads of roasted coffee and chocolate, moderate hoppiness, alcohol well-masked.

1st rater. Sampler at the brewpub. Aroma is nicely not overwhelming cocoa and roast. Flavor is light for the style, not a big, bad impy. Mostly fumy nonsugary chocolate. Very clean and relatively easy drinking for style.

Draft at the Bier Stein, Eugene. Pours a medium brown, little to no tan head. Aroma slightly muddled, hops and roasty character. Body lively but finish surprisingly clean and bitter. Good but perhaps a bit of an identity crisis.
