COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
King Street Brown is the answer for those wanting a slightly more malty experience. Made in classic Schooner EXACT fashion, the beer achieves the tricky balance of malty, but not too sweet; full of flavor but not too full on the stomach. Brewed with a blend of chocolate and special Belgian malts, this beer has a roasty, nutty flavor nuanced with hints of stone fruit and leaves you with a dry lingering finish.

Growler from Chuckís. Tasty if mellow brown ale. I suppose itís not supposed to be too sweet but there seems to be something missing. Interestingly nutty. Slight tang in the finish, like a Guinness.

Warm brown colour in draught. Sweet and nutty with a bit of pecan? in the aroma. Again, would make a good session beer if served in small enough glasses. Good for washing down spices.

On tap at Wingdome in Greenwood. Pours a dark brown with tiny white head. Not much in the aroma but a bit of toffee and coffee. Flavor of roasted malts with a creamy finish. Decent, but nothing special.

Looks a little thin. The nose is dusty, nutty malt. In the mouth it is super smooth and light with some real nutty sweetness in the finish. Pretty good but not something Iíll pay to revisit.

Donít see what the hype is all about, Iíve had this beer on 3 separate occasions and each time realized that it was fairly ordinary. Not too malty, no dominant hop presence, no prevalent malt presence either. Itís beers like this that I wish I could say that there was a unique yeast ester or a malt ester, or even a masterful combination of fermentation control and timing...but there really isnít. In no means is it a great beer, but by no means is it truly a horrible beer either. Yes, there are some malt notes of medium caramel and nuts, no hangover esters either, but itís not outstanding and I would deifnitely ask about other beers on tap before ordering this one.
