Thin brown head atop a deep brown body. Nose of coffee grounds, ash. Fairly raw flavour with cigarette butts, coffee, and a lasting bitterness through the finish. I find this rather tonic on the palate.

Overall... entirely forgettable. To start out there was little aroma, even after pouring and letting it sit for a minute the aroma was faint and unremarkable. The color was a thin medium brown reminiscent of strong tea. It tasted alright (i.e. nothing especially objectionable) but there is nothing special here. The palate was as thin and watery as the color. I expect a porter to have a little bite and good mouth feel, this had neither. It was almost like a porter made by someone that had never tasted a good one. I will not be wasting my money on this one again.

Draft at SB. Pours a murky near-black with a light creamy tan head. Big sweet nose, very milk chocolatey. Toasty malts around the background. Creamy thick body, soft carb. Chocolatey, softly toasty mid palate. Finishes a bit drier than expected, but all very coherent.

On tap at Baileys. Pours a pure black color with a medium tan head. A big sweet chocolate nose. The flavor is dry chocolate, roast, vanilla, ash. Good.

Dark brown color. Nice brownies and nutty nose that is slightly tart. The mouth is slightly sour, light, nutty with moderate roastiness. Finishes with lingering roastiness and brownie notes. Nice stuff, though not over the top.

Solid P-ter. Not as roasty and more chocolate focused than some. Sweet then dryish finish. Smooth and round.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown color with a rather this light tan head on there. Nose is quite roasty with just a little bit of some chocolatey sweetness in there. Taste is also quite roasty and slightly bitter up front, but has a lingering sweetness with some chocolate to it. Really quite pleasant.

Good, solid dry porter. Surprisingly flavorful given its low ABV. Chocolate undertones, with cherry (?) overtones. Satisfyingly complex, enjoyable, and drinkable -- perhaps sessionable!

Had off tap at the brewery. So similar to two beers porter, just slightly more root beer like flavor. As I continue to drink the sweetness in this brew stands out. Medium body that stays through.
