Bomber poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of bakers cocoa, earthiness, walnuts and dark cherry. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bakers cocoa, earthiness and light roastiness wiuth a smooth dry lingering bakers cocoa finish.

Sample at the brewpub. Dark brown pour with a medium beige head that recedes slowly. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of chocolate and sweet malt. Light-bodied with flavors of chocolate, roasted malt and coffee. The finish is roasty with a chocolate malt aftertaste. Decent all around.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a tan head, some lighter glows when held up to a light at the bottom, as well. Light to Medium-bodied; Nice roasty malt flavour with a hint of earthiness and vanilla at first and some caramel later on. Aftertaste shows more of a refined roasted malt flavour with definite oaky and dry qualities and some light sweetness. Overall, a decent and respectable porter, but bordering on the lighter side made for a good drink. I sampled this pint on draught at SeaTown Restaurant in Seattle, Washington on 10-February-2013 for US$6.00.

Dark brown color, almost black, but still with some red shade; beige creamy head. Coffeish aroma, roasted malt. Dark chocolate and roasted malt flavor, some pond water. Light body.
Not spectacular, but not bad.

Solid porter with great malt and hops. The nose and flavor have a nice nuttiness and ease to drink even in summer. Ok Seattle summer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Quite a bit of coffee in the aroma, some chocolate too. This is actually much smoother in flavor than in the aroma. Roasty, but not too heavy or grainy, this is a pretty tasty porter and not too sweet.
