COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This English influenced Ale uses generous amounts of Maris Otter, Crystal, and Dark Malts to produce a beer that is richly colored (itís English influenced isnít it?), yet smooth and easy to drink. The subtle influence of Goldings Hops provides the perfect balance to this beerís malty backbone that embraces flavors of toast and caramel.

On tap at the Schoonerís Brewery/Restaurant in Antioch. It pours a striking clear amber with lasting off white head and spotty lacing. Nice aroma of nuttiness, roasted malts and mild caramelization. It has a somewhat creamy mouth feel which ushers in the roasted and nutty notes noted in the nose. Midway mild malt caramelization shows up with slight astringency into the finish. It ends thin and dry.

Pretty mahoghany color with small but dense head. Dark roast aroma, raisins. Full roasty flavor, rather dry with some graininess/huskiness. Moderate bitterness. A little dry, but a nice example of the style. Sharp carbonation. Would be better a bit sweeter/maltier.

This is a fantasic beer that is should be bottled but alas, itís not. A VERY clear amber pour, the nose is bready and nutty and somewhat floral. An extrememly well-balanced beer the flavor is matly, hoppy and just really easy to drink. I can see why it won at the State Fair. Nice job guys.

Clearish amber pour. Mostly diminishing off-white head that still leaves a cover. Bready, sticky caramel malts camp under a slice of most welcome floral hops that accentuates the maltís nuttiness. Well brewed obviously, the few ingredients there are blend in nicely if not quite serving a purpose. An unnecessary confirmation that I should listen to myself and stop drinking amber ales..

Beautiful amber color with a complex nose. Wonderful blend of hoppiness and maltiness.
