bb (1902), Martinez, California, USA May 1, 2008 Bottle. ABV says 8.5%. Purplish beer with a thin off-white head. Very dusty, tart, cherry aroma. Dusty, earthy flavor with cherry. Slight oxidation and background metallic tang. Mushrooms. Nice acetic tone to balance. Medium body. Lingering cherry, earth, tartness, and metallic notes. jayg (952), Florida, USA Apr 23, 2008 Courtesy SoLan. Batch 2. Light reddish-brown color with a thin sparse white head. Funky band-aid or old book aroma going on here. Taste is moderately tart and has a cough syrup cherry-ness to it that is pleasing. Tartness is light and even. An interesting, odd brew. SoLan (1144), Orlando, Florida, USA Apr 6, 2008 Courtesy aspidites. Batch 2, all sour fermentation. Burnt orange/pink and a small white head. Aroma of a doctor’s office waiting room with an old lady sitting next you, band aid (both of these in the best way possible), cherries and cherry juice, funky brett. Flavor adds more cherry and barn funk. Dry finish. Medium body, balanced carbonation, lightly juicy. Very weird, unique, enjoyable. TheCheeseMan (449), Saint Cloud, Florida, USA Apr 6, 2008 Thanks again SoLan...Pours the oddest crystalline pink I have ever seen. The aroma is equally as strange, with a pronounced bandage and iodine aroma dominating the nose, though the cherry component seems to come through slightly. The flavor is much better, with the tartness coming on strong. The cherry is present at the start, yielding to a balanced tartness. Very odd beer. riversideAK (1330), Shoreline, Washington, USA Apr 1, 2008 Once again from memory. Courtesy of the ever generous Mike. Thanks man! Liquid cherry pie. This one had a nice light red color with some floaties. Aroma of tart cherries, a touch of funk. Tasted like tart cherry pie. Not overly funky, but just enough to make this one extremely enjoyable and interesting. Had no clue it was 15%
