TheCheeseMan (515), Saint Cloud, Florida, USA Apr 6, 2008 Thanks again SoLan...Pours the oddest crystalline pink I have ever seen. The aroma is equally as strange, with a pronounced bandage and iodine aroma dominating the nose, though the cherry component seems to come through slightly. The flavor is much better, with the tartness coming on strong. The cherry is present at the start, yielding to a balanced tartness. Very odd beer.
wetherel (1151), Encinitas, California, USA Oct 21, 2008 Handbottle opened by WeeeeHeavySD. awesome. Light yellow red color. Lots of plasticy Brett B phenolics. Aroma somewhat like wax lips. Some sweetness. Some cherry tartness, but smooth and mellow overall. Wonderful aroma I keep smelling over and over again. WeeHeavySD (2027), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Oct 17, 2008 20th rating, 12oz handbottle from my main man mike, mike aspidites. Shared with my gf cyn and wetherel. Pours pink with a tan head. Supremely funkalicious cherry nose, super sour with tons of big funkin punch. Great handbottle, no ill effects noticeable. Tart funky sour and overall big old fashioned yum. Very nice overall. argo0 (6284), Washington DC, USA Aug 8, 2008 (BCTC, handbottle, thanks frumptydumpty ) Hazy copper body with minimal white head. Aroma is medium sweet, sour cherry, some funk, dusky. Taste is moderately sweet, sour cherry, light raspberry, funk, alcohol. Medium body, light acidity. acrdz (4489), Boulder, Colorado, USA Aug 6, 2008 Soft, woody cream nose – tart, lightly acidic, candied. Flavor is fruity and soft, medium tartness, but thick and full on the palate… cherries, sweetened red wine, lactic acid, and raspberries (even more so than the cherry note, which is strange)… stemmy, raw, raspberries. Quite good. AgentSteve (919), SF Bay Area, California, USA Aug 5, 2008 I think this is batch 2, as I hear batch one is sweeter of the two. Pours a beautiful ruby red with no head. The nose is tart and vineous along with cherry and oak. The flavor is wonerfullly complex, with all the flavors in the nose taking tuns standing out. The finish is nutty and oak. smooth on the palate. Thanks for the bottle Craig!
