Thanks to foofaa for sharing his sample with me and to whoever brought this one to Capone’s.

A - Pours dead flat dark brown with no head and no lace. No surprise here.

S - This is a beer? Could have fooled me. Smells kinda like a fine brandy to me. Hints of caramel, dark fruit, and some cherries but once the booze kicks in it is all over.

T - Starts off with a mix of caramel sweetness, cherries, and dark fruits quickly being enveloped by the insanely hot alcohol burn. Once the booze kicks in you really lose most of the flavors. This is probably the hottest beer I have ever had.

M - Heavy body and flavor with no carbonation. This one feels like I drank some gas and lit my mouth on fire.

O - I am sure this was a pretty good beer at some point in its life but at this level it is just a novelty. If I wanted my beer to taste like a spirit I would just order a spirit and be done with it.

Bottle from Bill, pours flat brown with zero head/lace. Notes were very hot, peanuts, mollases, fire, peat, cherries, and caramel. Drank about a 1/2 ounce of this and even that was too much. Residual heat in the body to the max, not a fan.

Pours a flat brown syrup, looks decent in the light and had some nice legs, no head but that was expected. It smelled like a brandy to me, maybe one with fruit, apricot possibly. A bit of that "Beery" smell as well if you know what I mean. It tastes much of the same. It begins with a harsh burn but that is gone by the second sip. Definitely much like an apricot brandy, to me it’s all booze sweet syrup and some fruit, no balance of flavors. I just did not find anything special about this. Mouth feel was decent smooth no carbonation but, A little would have been nice! You obviously should not drink too much of this but I wouldn’t bother as a nice (real) brandy would be better and much cheaper any day. Still, very glad I had the chance to taste it.

Hazy amber beer. Much to my surprise, pours with a little carbonation and forms a short lived white head. Toffee caramel nose. Syrupy palate. Starts with sweet toffee caramel, rapidly morphs into very salty barleywine malt and pretty intense spicy hops. Very spicy - piney. Leaves the mouth completely dry and with intense alcohol afterburn. Aniseed aftertaste in the numb mouth.

330mL flip-top shared by noodleuser. Thanks Joel! The pour is a flat, deep reddish amber with very intense legs forming with a good swirl. Looks like bourbon. Nose is much better than expected. Really no acetone or fusel. Instead, big ass sugar and cherry pie. Heavy pie crust, baked cherries, rich and heavy profile. A bit of alcohol sting. Really nice though. Taste is sugary, cherry, pretty mild alcohol warming. Still tons of cherry pie and pie crust. Extremely long finish with some pretty substantive esophagus burn. Odd...different from typical bourbon/Scotch. Overall, much better than I expected and certainly worth trying for kicks.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with no head. Has a malty caramel aroma with hoppy hints and hints of alcohol. Thick warming malty burning alcohol flavor with hints of caramel and bitter hops. Has a thick dry malty caramel finish.

Rune (8173) - Tromsø, NORWAY - NOV 16, 2010
Taster from bottle no. 8/100. Clear amber body, no head. Strong aroma of alcohol. Heavy taste alcohol supported by cloying sweetness from caramel malts. Heavy cleansing stuff. Ølbutikkens smagning of the world’s strongest beers at Ørsted Ølbar in Copenhagen, 06.11.2010.

Adenila (1557) - DENMARK - NOV 12, 2010
Sampled at "the strongest beer in the world" tasting session on Ørsted Ølbar. The best of the three. Dark amber with a micro head (but there was one) Aroma of alchohol, brewmash and caramel malt. Not as sweet and sticky as the 31% one but more wellrounded though its more of a bourbon then a beer. Oc alchohol dominated flavor.

Pinball (10867) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 8, 2010
bottle @ Ørsted Ølbar strongest beers of the world tasting. clear caramelly brown, small bubbly head. strong alc. in the nose, stings in the nose. below that some caramel. flavor is definetly better than the 31%, nice caramelly flavor, malty, faint fruity, A very heavy bock flavor. In fact a very good strong beer, high drinkabillty. But don’t smell it, it rips your nose apart from the inside.
