Belle bière cuivrée, trouble, sous un ample col crème et mousseux. Des arômes incertains de citron, de pomme verte... Très acide. Elle est bien affervescente et laisse en bouche une forte acidité.

on tap. i tried this beer because my friend told me it’s a spontaneously fermented beer, similar to Cantilon. i will admit, i already had a strong dislike for Schoune brews. this is the one that sealed the deal, i will never spend another penny on a Schoune beer ever again. aroma is weak and metallic. colour was ok, but the head disappeared by the time i put the rim of the glass to my lips. taste is cardboard. unpleasant and putrid, actually. this is a horrible example of a beer with wild yeast, and Schoune is a disgrace to the Québec Microbrew scene.

Infected. Pale amber pour with an oxidized aroma. Tart and not very good. Meh.

Bottle shared by Pinball, the Schoune pimp. ;) Pours an amber colour with a off white geyser head. It has a very sweet caramel malt aroma. Flavour is similar with old fruity notes to it. Weak caramel after taste.

Bottle from Tvoli Christmas market, Copenhagen. Very full mouth feel, peaches, cream and sugar. Seems they like to put too much syrup in all their beers? A little Belgian yeast. Some fine tuning, this could be a great beer.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a frothy eggshell colored head. Aroma is very bland I only get notes of caramel, toffee and some faint hoppy notes. Flavor is also very mild with caramel, toffee and some metallic notes. The body is light with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall a pretty boring Amber!

Oh boy, Schoune is talkin’ about Samuel de Champlain arriving in Québec.... did he think, four hundred years ago, that he was founding a colony which would produce crappy microbrewers such as Schoune? Surely he’s rolling over in his grave, if he can manage, after drinking some of their foul malt liquors! But I’m biased.... perhaps this, the fourth of my experiment into the world of Schoune, could prove to be different from all the other foul swill they bottle and sell as "beer"? The appearance is the same as the others - almost no head, and a dark gold body. The aroma is simple hops with a few malt hints. The taste is awkward malty grassiness, coming off like cardboard, perhaps some of the better kind of cardboard you find packaging the microwaves and cameras at Best Buy. Dry finish. Still awful, but not as awful as the other beers of theirs that I tried.
