Bouteille 341ml. (2005)
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Metalchopz (1753) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - APR 15, 2012
Originally rated September 2004. This maple beer poured a hazy yellow-beige colour with a nice thick head. Aromas flowed with maple syrup, and hints of bubblegum and cotton candy. The flavour was very smooth with maple with a slight bitter finish. The mouthfeel was of heavy carbonation but well balanced taste. Tabarnacle que c’é bon !!
4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Snoro (280) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 23, 2006
Suculente bière d’érable, Cela nous rappelle un de nos trésors national, l’érable. Quelle belle façon de l’exploiter et la partager. Tout doux en bouche, plas de goût amer, se bois comme un bonbon.
Merci Schoune!
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 french tickler (648) - Aylmer, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 12, 2006
Drank in a tulip. Golden hazy poor with a creamy white head. Slight aromas of maple. Other aromas are of bananas, creamy vanilla and a little pepper. Light vanilla with a good maple taste... thats basically it. Creamy mouthfeel. Missing a little bitterness moreover it has a sweeter side to it. Not bad.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Ungstrup (26268) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - SEP 11, 2006
A hazy yellow beer with a huge white head. The aroma is powerful with some weird spices combined with notes of maple syrup. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of maple syrup, which pretty much totally dominates, and leads to a dry end. It is very carbonated. This, my first maple syrup beer, makes my wonder if maple syrup works well in a beer.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Papsoe (25131) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 3, 2006
(Bottle 34,1 cl) Hazy, pilsener golden with a rather neat, white head. Odd aroma - well it must be the maple syrup. Medium body with some sweet, fruity and rather unique flavour patterns. More unusual than really pleasant. 290806

Bottled. Yellow coloured. Unclear. Off white head. Loads of marple in the aroma. Sweetness and loads of syrup. Too much. Flavour is sweetish syrupy with loads of woody notes. Light herbal. Is bitter in the end. The maple thing is very dominant thruout the beer.Very special.
1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20 Hildigöltur (5106) - København, DENMARK - AUG 29, 2006
Bottled. Hazy pale yellow coloured. Bong aroma. Caramel and syrup flavour. Very original and very unpleasant.

Oddly enough I got this in Belgium! Bottled at Delirium Cafe. Gold with a small tanned head. Nose is very sharp maple syrup notes, light woody/earthy aromas and sweet malts. Taste is sweet and malty with maple syrup notes, but not much else. Body is light with a fine carbonation feel. Finishes bittersweet with more maple notes. Not a bad beer but seems a bit "gimmicky".
