3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
There is plenty of hoppy sweetness in this beer. Has a somewhat similar character to the blonde, but far more muted. More appealing as a result.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at Schouskjelleren, winter 2013. This particular female has a beautiful orange body wrapped up under a creamy barely covering white top, leaving almost nothing to imagination. Some fizzy bubbles hammering through her body, ok baby’s got a temper. As she approach my mouth I stop up to smell her first, tropical fruit perfumed she is, covered in grapefruit, peach, orange. Also some bread and a bit sour? Finally getting to taste her, filling my mouth she’s got a decent body, just right about thick enough for her style, she’s a fruit explosion, citrus, peach, mango, at the same time she’s sweet like caramels too. A yeasty taste is not always desirable, but she’s got it and it suits her well. She’s quite bitter too luckily, and both bitterness and fruit taste is lasting through right to her tight refreshing end.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Appearance: Hazy color with a bubbly white head. Good lacing.
Aroma: At first the less charming cat piss aroma. The grape hoppy aroma, luckily enough, came through when it got a little bit warmer.
Palate: Medium body. Slightly sweet and a fine bitterness. Creamy carbonation.
Taste: Slightly sweet with some acidic notes. Hoppy, light fruity and a fine malty background.
Overall impression: A bit dissapointing APA.
Personal stats: On tap @ source.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
21.11.2012. On tap at Schouskjelleren brygghus. Golden colour with white head. Aroma totally dominated by bitterness and hops. Grassy with not only notes of, but strong flavours of green spruce shoots and hay or grass. Im tempted to write no malt, just hops.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
In short: A blond IPA that feels like an explosion of Citra hops
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Clear blond body topped by a medium white head with good retention
In long: Nose is intensely hoppy with grapefruity hops, tropical fruits hops and a little cat urine (I suspect citra) with a vibrant intense freshness in the the aroma that reminds of fresh Hill Farmstead IPAs. Taste is clean, well extracted pale malts, freshly baked bread sensation, a lot of hops and then some more. Fresh bright refreshing fruity flavors of tropical fruits, grapefruits, lemongrass and why not some bananas. The short bitterness is as clean as it is assertive, nothing resinous or sticky here. Full body, lively carbonation, nice mouthfeel. This is a great refreshing hop-bomb that compares to the best Citra IPAs from North-America (although nobody told me this beer uses Citra at all). At the pub they called it a Pale Ale but to me this had the body and certainly the hopping of an IPA. Great beer. With the quality of the beers at Schouskjelleren I don’t understand how their patrons can stand up on their own after a night at the pub nor do I understand how the smurfette can even walk at all in the morning.
