2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Deep amber pour with very thin off white head. Roasty, smoky, slightly malty aromas, taste is similar in that there is sweetness, but mostly just the smokiness overriding it. Not bad, but a bit one dimensional

Copper, quite clear, creamy beige head. Smell of light smoke, caramel malts and sausage. Light sweet, dry and smoky, light woody flavors. Ends with a quite light bitter finish. Quite nice

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Schouskjelleren, pours a cloudy dark brown with a reddish tinge and a small beige head. Nose brings out prominent smoke, nothing else. Flavour is monolithic in its smokiness, with light caramel sweetness. Quite pleasant, with a good addition of smoke to this. Nice.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Schouskjelleren. Amber body with a small offwhite head. Aroma of roast, ash, and light smoky. Taste is malty with citric hops, mild smoked meat finish. It’s not bad, I just feel it’s a bit too little of everything here.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear deep nutty color with an off white head. Some lacing. Some bacon. Mild peat and malty aroma. Medium body and tad sweet. Ok bitterness and soft carbonation. Quite mild and balanced flavor. Not any one dimensional ale. Some bacon, caramel malty, mild fruity and some peat. Decent.

On tap at Schouskjelleren, Oslo courtesy of Cunningham. Deep amber to chesnut coloured with a tan head. Moderate smoky aroma with hints of smoked meat, malt and caramel. Sweet, mildly smoky and caramely with a light bitterness. Nice enough, but not quite my cup of tea.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Small offwhite head. Hazy reddish amber body with light carbonation. Roasty earthy wooden aroma with mealy caramelly notes. Dryish roasty smoky juniper taste with fruity creosote notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish juniper and wild berries aftertaste with resiny wooden fruity notes. Maybe some rye, too. Interesting, vivid and different. Drinkable, too. (0.2l draft at brewpub.)
