3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Very dark ruby colour, moderate off-white to beige head. Roasty aroma, notes of dark chocolate and mild coffee. Roasty and fairly dry flavour, dominant coffee notes, also dark bitter chocolate and bittering hops. There might be some Christmas spices hidden in there somewhere, but there is really not much specifically "Christmassy" about the beer - it is a decent standard porter, drinkable at any time of the year, whenever you crave a porter.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Schouskjelleren. Pitch black colour with a medium big light brown head. Aroma is vinous and sharp. Notes of spices and clove. Flavour is a bit thin and soapy. Not as vinous as the aroma but still noticeable. Some spices and coffee. Disappointing and most likely infected.
The bottled edition is much better. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee and chestnuts. Flavour is balanced and smooth. Roasted malts, coffee and hints of charcoal. Some liqorice. Short aftertaste. My rating is for the bottled edition, but heres the tap-version:
