Dark brown to black in color.Aroma is malt and spices.
Taste is medium bitter and a bit dry.Little carbonation and foam.

Black with a beige head. Smells of roasted malts, liquorice, coffee and seasonal spices. Moderate sweet, toast and roast, some fruityness. Oily texture, medium bitter. A very nice seasonal. It’s quite easy drinkable, and i wish more of the yule seasonals could be so.

Reddish brown with a medium tan head. malty with spicy tones. Malt, spice caramel and hops. Medium body with a bitter after taste.

Black colour with a beige head. Roasted malt and chocolate aroma. Medium + body. A bit dry texture. Mostly a roasted malt flavour with some chocolate.

On tap at Schouskjelleren. Very dark, almost black, with a reddish hue and a beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruits, coffee and a hint of smoke. Sweet, roasty and well balanced with a nice bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. Nice Christmas beer. (2012-11-03)

Dark brown color, lighter brown small head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and spices. Dry roasty taste with caramel, wood, eartly hops and ending bitter with dark chocolate. A good christmas beer.

Pours dark brown with beige frothy head. Spices, malts and a hint of liquorice on the aroma. Heavy and round. Malty taste, light sweetness, lightly bitter. Medium to full body, creamy, soft carbonation and a light bitter malty after taste. Good.

Draft 200ml, 6.5% ABV, served by the brewer himself. Dark brown body. Spotty lacing to the glassware. Near-naked surface. Dry aroma of earth, ash and chocolate. Spiced malty taste profile including nuts and bread. Mid-sweet. Well balanced. Nice Yuletide feel (Oslo, 12.12.2011).

23.11.2011. On tap at Schouskjelleren Mikrobryggeri, Oslo. Dark brown colour with tan head. Malty aroma with dark roasted malts. Dry bitter finish gives a well balanced beer. Very good!

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2011 From keg @Schouskjelleren. Opaque dark brown. Small greyish-blond head. Nice hazelnut aroma. Some choco tones too, and a whiff of pepper/mild spices. Fairly light-bodied. Bitter coffee and chocolate. Nutty malts with mild roast tones. Firm bitterness. Medium full. Dryish, spiced choco-malty ending. A nice one.
