3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
2 oz sample from tom10101, thanks man! Apperance is a clear yellow. Aroma is ginger, oregano, and honey. Taste is vanilla, ginger, herbs, and honey. Full bodied, sweet finish, with a bit of kick from the ginger. Very interesting stuff, lovely aftertaste, the ginger is well integrated without being harsh. Excellent stuff.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
2 oz from bottle (375 ml).
Appearance: Clear extra pale yellow but nice legs.
Aroma: Burst of ginger along rich honey, pears and light lemony notes.
Taste: Ginger is super present here too but not overpowering with medium sweetness, rich honey, floral presence, pears and light alcohol.
Palate: Medium to full body. Rich palate. A bit warming finish from both the alcohol and the ginger.
Overall: I liked this one almost as much as the amazing Nutmeg. In both case, the spice is showcased but the honey is so rich that the balance is still great. Really tasty. Loved it.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
2 oz sample. Clear, sparkling clear almost translucent pale yellow pour. Aroma is very floral, tons of floral honey notes, light spiciness, can barely tell itís ginger yet complements the floral honey aromas very well. Taste is sweet, quite leafy, floral, lots of rose petal, clover, light spiciness, alcohol is very well hidden, mellow warmth on the palate. Palate is med bodied, dry, nice alcohol warmth. Not as intense as some of the flavorings in other Schrammís meads, but very tasty nonetheless.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
100th Mead Rating! YES! Bottle poured into a brandy snifter. Pours a crystal clear, light yellow. No sign of carbonation. The aroma has strong floral and ginger notes. A touch of spice comes through, but is mostly sweet and hints at the ginger. Not in your face in any way. Thicker body and mouthfeel. Still. Really a nice mead.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at Jamesí for a tasting with Ferris and Kraddel. Pours a clear yellow with no head. Big spicy ginger hits the nose even while pouring. Medium bodied, quite sweet, honey sweetness moves slowly into ginger, sweetness playing nicely with the spicy ginger. Long spicy ginger cleanses the palate on the finish. Tasty.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
375 mL bottle opened by Adamjackson on a previous visit to Enfield. Many thanks! To whatever the hell glass I used (very possibly a big assed snifter), it pours an effervescent golden-yellow; three to four bubbles dispersed up top. Aromas of ginger pulp, orange blossom honey, and wildly-collected yeasts -- remarkably straight forward. Tastes the same with the addition of Bartlett pears, table sugar, and cognac booze. Sugary and thick. Honey peaking through. Orange zest experienced at mid-palate (orange blossom is such a complimentary honey to ginger.) But you know something? This tastes strangely similar to those ultra-spicy, candied ginger candies you can get at Asian markets. Unreasonably fascinating.
