Schrammís Ginger is a full-throated, unapologetic expression of ginger and honey. It is intended as an accompaniment to grilled or spicy Indian, Ethiopian or Thai cuisine, Grilled Korean mackerel, flavorful sushi and sashimi such as salmon, and dark chocolate. It is created with California Orange Blossom honey from Silverbow Honey in Moses Lake, Washington, and real, diced ginger.

Sampled at Vintage Estate this mead poured a yellow-tan color. The aroma was sweet with strong ginger paste and honey. The flavor was strong candied ginger. Very long finish. Full bodied and smooth. Ambrosia.

July 24, 2016. Bottle.
Clear pale golden with no head. Aroma is sweet, spicy with slight floral honey, fresh ginger, notes of nutmeg, a touch of pineapple and minerals. Taste is sweet and spicy. Finish is sweet floral honey, spicy nutmeg and slight warming alcohol leading to a nice ginger bite in the end. Medium to full bodied, oily texture.
Nice, sweet with a refreshing ginger finish.

375 mL bottle. Clear pale yellow. Smells of all ginger. Nose burning ginger with a light floral honey. Tastes of a bright floral and even citrusy honey up front and then ginger. The ginger isnít as strong as in the nose. The honey is a very light honey, so it doesnít drink sluggishly. Nice.

Pours wan straw yellow, no head - but this is a mead. Honey aroma has a definite overtone of ginger. Flavor features wild honey and ginger notes, the latter not as strong as in the aroma. Mouthfeel has average body. Catch the buzz.

375 ml corked bottle. Served in a snifter, the mead pours a mostly clear gold color. Aroma is nice, the mead smells mostly like ginger, along with some honey and earthiness. I think itís a mostly sweet mead that tastes better than it smells (and it smells good). Thereís a lot of ginger flavor, and some honey and earthiness, too. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, itís smooth and easy enough to drink. If you like ginger and/or sweeter tasting meads, then I definitely recommend this!

Flight at the source. Pours light yellow. Aroma is lots of ginger, some honey. Booze. Nice. Flavor is ginger, definitely got that ginger burn. Nice. My favorite from them so far. I give this a 3.8 because although Iím not a big fan, I can appreciate that for this style this is exceptional.

Bottle from DanGeo - first mead opened from the package. Pours a clear pale gold with no head. Large ginger and lavender presence (curious if the honeybees are located near a lavender patch) that create a sweet and complex aroma with a warming booziness. Doesnít follow through for me on the taste with a sweet honey and astringent ginger combination a soapy lavender taste at the end.
