Dark bing cherry color. Aroma reminds me of those red freeze pops in my grandmother's freezer. Taste of cherry flavored sno cone syrup; pretty darn sweet but not cloying. Thanks Scott!

Bottle shared at RBWG 2014 Opening Dinner - Asheville. Big thanks to Derek for this one. Pours clear ruby. Viscous. Rich. Lovely syrupy berry sweetness, oily honey. Full bodied, soft and thick. Warm and sticky to finish with more rich honey laced with juicy berries. Hefty but nice.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle @ Barleyís during the RBWG opening ceremonies. Thanks Deyholla. The pourís deep red with a small head. Really strong honey notes. Sickly sweet. Honey surprisingly crowds out the cherry somewhat. The taste is rich honey comb. Accents of cherry skin. Lightly tart. Medium body, slick. Less precious than the other Schramms Iíve tried. Still tasty though.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle shared at rbwg. I liked this, surprised GT hated this so much. Guess Iím still a noob. Or maybe we just have different tastes. Enjoyable, easy drinking, pretty well balanced melomel/mead. Did not find it overly sweet at all. But I think GT is more experienced with the meads.

>> Clear blood red pour with excellent legs on the snifter globe. Medicinal cherry cough syrup nose unfortunately. Taste is sweet cough drops, quite medicinal cherry, camphor like finish. Too sweet, medicinal for me. And this is coming from someone who adores Kenís cherry meads.

Bottle - Cherry and honey in perfect balance. Clear ruby red with almost no head. Sweet honey and a bit of tart cherries in perfect balanced. Not to sweet or tart, this is one of the highlights for me at the RBWG.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 ml bottle shared with family. Pours a clear dark red color and a still appearance. Aroma is a nice mix of dark red cherries and honey with a hint of red wine as well. Tastes fantanstic. The tart cherries balance with the sweet honey very nicely. Finish has an oaky, red wine feel. Long lingering tart cherry taste. Great mead. Tastes best when itís about cellar temp.
