Well balanced and good. MiP (6337), Flensburg, Germany Apr 30, 2008 Bottle, 4.8%. Bready aroma. Clear yellow colour. Small white head. The flavour is mildly bready. A little metallic bitterness, but otherwise rather OK. Rastacouere (5418), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jun 10, 2007 Slow-witted carbonation manages to feed a generous white cover atop the clear golden pour. Fruity, herbal, rather hoppy nose with excellently extracted grains, not assaulting and taking all the room, but feeling fresh and grainy. A hint of acidity manages to increase drinkability pretty much beyond belief. A different example, quite drier than most others and frankly more charming, these hops fit and it drinks every bit as easily. Superb interpretation from a place that looked different even from the outside. JorisPPattyn (4638), Antwerpen, Belgium Dec 14, 2004 draught Very pale gold, well carbonated initially to differentiated off-white head. Malty, a bit herbal, faint lemon peel nose from the hops. Very grainy-malty, for a moment lively then falling flat. Like an English ale served from a swanneck-sparkler pump. Very light bodied, nearly watery, no carbonation in the end. This beer would clearly benefit from a little more carbonation; the C0² acid would balance it out many times better. It’s just too soft.
