COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schremser Roggenbier is the rediscovery of a beer speciality, which was traditional up until the 15th century when it was then banned. Top-fermented, Schremser Roggen stands out due to its intensive full-bodied taste. Slightly fruity to start then pithy with a long aftertaste. 11.9°

Bottle from Austria, merci Lau! Hazy gold pour with thin veil of white foam. Aroma of weed, very distinct pot skunk aroma, light peppery notes, a bit lambicy. Taste is grainy, sweet, light grassy and peppery finish. Palate is dry, light-med bodied with light carbonation. Strange brew, but good.

Bouteille: Deep golden, cloudy, persistent mid-sized loose white head, sourish-bready nose with a yeasty Background; light to moderate sourish-sweet flavour, light bodied and quite soft; sourish-bready finish. Not really necessary...

bottle, from seraf in pilsen. pretty dull rye - some banana and caramel flavours that don’t go anywhere, light brown, a bit nutty, a bit of a snoozefest

Bottle looks very simple. almost like a cheap beer. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts malty-yeasty, mild sourish. Fruity notes of peaches. Fine nutty notes in the background. Finish well balanced, still dominated by malty notes. Not bad!

Bottle. Golden, cloudy, small to average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate, malty - some wheat and sweetish aroma, some fruitiness and some banana. Body is medium, malty - some wheat and sweetish, light fruitiness and faint sourness, some banana. Finish is short to average, malty - light wheat/rye and lightly sweetish, faint fruitiness and light banana. Roggen? More like hefeweizen. Not too sweet though.

Light brown and reddish ale. Nice white head. Kind of a harsh musty taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Wheaty aroma - familiar banana and off wheat, lovely colour, slightly murky, with mid white head. Lightly tart, gets a bit boring by the end. Clove and bubblegum?
