ThirstyBird (2227) - London area, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 28, 2015
Bottle from P&M, pours a deep golden yellow with an off-white head. The smell is grain, light sweetness, grass. The taste is grain, grassy hops dry and a bit bitter. Light in body with a tick over average carbonation level.

Bottle at 10k tasting. Standard golden German pour. Nose is somewhat grainy and malt. Tastes of bread, malt, grains. Light lemon, and honey. Very plain and standard but enjoyable. Subtle beers like this get lost at massive tastings but refreshing palate cleanser.

Tasted in Nankendorf 17/09/2014. Wow, this was a surprise, my first time at the brewery, I didn’t go last time I was in the area. I did not have great expectation for Schroll but how wrong I was. It looked magnificent in the glass, not as straw/pale straw as many Helles, with a tinge of amber, but clear, clean with a lovely spongey head. More malt than many Helles, but beautifully balanced by skilful hopping. Very, very refreshing after a 10km walk from Hochstahl, excellent beer.

Draft at the brewpub. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is clear dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (herbs). Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, slightly husky. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Very simple and straightforward. Not bad but very dull. Similar quality as the Landbier.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild but not washy, fine malty, modest spicy, not very dry. Finish still mild, well balanced, quite drinkable. Not bad!

Slightly darker and richer than most helles, almost seems like a small bock.
Quenching acidity with seemingly neutral bitterness.
Mild nose is honey, juicy pale malt, pepper spice hops with soft citrus touches.
Medium-body, savory, peppery, a little grating with carbonation and acids.
Clean and quaffable and rich helles. I found it quite enjoyable.

Moravius (868) - Berlin, GERMANY - NOV 29, 2013
